Sorry should have said it was emotional crap.
Been near to tears most of the week and the dam finally burst.

Not just the crap that was going on here for which I was about as much use as chocolate teapot., but just other needling little odds and ends.

Found out yesterday my kids are certainly invited to the wedding just the church but not to the reception and just the evening do. The daughter is mightily disappointed and so am I. It's all us girls have talked about for weeks.

Ooh the weather for April's been crap but we did have a nice week in March.

The aches and pains I've had over the past few weeks but they'll be sorted sooner or later.

Sorry but I've been fed up turning a negative into a positive.
It could be worse, I could be filing.

Not to mention the 10 incomprehensible texts I've had from an old alkie friend about his drinking which I can't answer because I haven't got the balls to tell him to feck off.

Right back on me pity pot.

        Might be back in abit.

Oh Jackie that wedding stuff is so upsetting. I do not have any words of comfort but I would be in tears just with that never mind all the other kerfuffle:l:l

Miserable weather here but have been spending the day getting my head around WHY I drank
Analysing and coming up with my triggers.

Off to make a bit of dinner
Hi whizzy I'm fine, thanks. Yes, I did read about you being back on day one. It's a shame it happened, but you've been through a lot these past several weeks and maybe it was your body reminding you that you're human? Whatever the causes, try and put it behind you quickly and move on. Have you managed to recover fully from your food-poisoning mishap or is it still affecting you?

              And.....what's for dinner?

Hello pingu and jan Sorry about the stone pingu.

Awww, sorry about your beautiful stone Pingu!
Anon, what Reccie said. Feel better soon hon.:l
JC-I'm so sorry you are feeling blue , hon. I think the crap weather we are having is not helping our moods either. That is sad about the wedding. All I can think, is that maybe they have had to cut down their guest list because of their budget. But I know it must be a huge disappointment for you and your daughter.:upset:
I hope your mood lifts soon. Life is sometimes fecking difficult , isn't it?:upset:
I don't really have any words to say....Just know you have a lot of people here that care and feel your sadness.:groupluv:

                    Sorry about that.

Naw the invitations were worded very badly.

Gawd I'm banging on about the kids not getting a bit of a feed after the wedding and I know there's one very special person going to be missing. The mother of the bride.

I can't help smiling that this wedding would have been organized within an inch of it's life if she'd still been alive.

                          Army Thread 29th April

                          Hello again Army!!

Jackie, I know you're disappointed about your kids not going to the reception but I know in spite of that, that it will be a very special day for you. I hope you can enjoy it to the fullest. It's lovely that you can get a wee chuckle while thinking of your friend. :l

Mrs. A, I hope you're feeling much better today and that goes for Zennie as well. Again, sorry that I didn't see your post yesterday, Zens.

ExPatty, wishing you all the best with your new relationship. I hope it works out because I know that although you're a really strong woman, it will be great for you to have some emotional/psychological support.

Reccie, good to see you. I don't think we've been on the boards together for a while. Hope you're doing well.

Pingu, sorry about your stone. I hope the AA meeting goes well. If it doesn't, it doesn't mean you failed. It means AA isn't for you, at least the ones in your area.

Foxy, glad to hear you had a nice afternoon with your nephews. The weather here was fab all day.

Just got back from a brisk walk around our neighbourhood. The gardens and fields are all a-bloom and it's beautiful. Fields full of daisies and poppies and other wild flowers and the gardens with roses, daisies, violets, bottle brush bushes and lots more.

:wavin: to anyone who's around and I've missed.

Ach I'll have a word with the father of the bride.

Just have this vision of a load of people dressed up to the nines at the church then wandering aimlessly for hours round Noocastle 'til the evening do.

I don't think we'll be the only one's who have misread the invites. Of course Mr JC being a lawyer has gone on about the small print and how we shouldn't assume things.

X-post, Pingu. So very glad to hear that about the meeting. I thing the support will help you a lot right now.

Jackie, they do things a bit differently here. The wedding is usually around 7 or 8 in the evening and the reception afterwards. Invites are for the wedding only or for the wedding and the reception. No morning weddings with reception after and then an evening do. Too many hours for the guests to wait around with nothing to do, especially, as you said, they're all dressed up.

That's wonderful Pingu. What was the difference?

I hope you mean a shiny stone not another 14lbs.
