    Taking your advice and heading off for a bit of a walk. The sun has come out and the temperature has just risen from 12 degres (which it has been for most of today) up to 13, so I'm off to get some Vitamin D!

              Latest news on my FIL.
              He was diagnosed last week with Amyloidosis.
              That partly accounts for his moodiness and not liking anything I cooked as the proteins are not only invading his heart (which is what is going to give him a massive heart attack) but also his mouth and throat (no sense of taste therefore loss of apetite etc.).
              He is, essentially, in the final stages of cardiac failure and also kidney problems including proteinuria .


              The only good news (from FIL point of view) is that commonly
              people with this disease die suddenly of a heart attack often within
              4-6months of diagnosis depending on the cause of the disease. This could
              occur virtually at any time from now as he has fairly advanced
              disease.


              So, Mr Rags and I are going up to Sinney tomorrow to visit via Canon to pick up my lens which is going to become expensisve land fill. Then heading to Customs Hpouse to take a look at photographs of Lake eyre before having din din at ARRAS and then heading back home. PHEW! A BIG day tomorrow.

                                Morning all,

                                Yikes Rags - that's a huge day. So sorry to read about FILs advanced stage and just hope he's relatively comfortable and pain-free. Give us a Borneo report when you can.

                                So, everybody ... what does the List say today? Mine says go to dentist in the biggish little town.
