Nah just kind of warmed it through on a very low setting. Ended up caramelising banana and hiding it underneath on base of pie so as not to ruin scrumdidlyumptious look of top, then resmoothed etc when it came out.
If your 8 year old self met you, would they be proud?

INSTANT disqualification for deviating from Nicey's Heirloom Recipe by going all Heston Freerange on us. Still looks good but ...

Raggsy - hope your day was not too distressing with your friend and I really hope that FIL will stop hurting soon. (Said with much compassion.)

Sunny - did you get to Byron Bay today?

Everybody else - how are you doing?

And those noodles were bloody revolting..I just can't abide by processed crap food any more....so I think I'm going to do a kitchen purge. Get rid of all the old aberrations at the back of the pantry. Then I might get a priest in, do a sage smudge and set myself up for a dietary detox.

Yep. That's what I'm going to do.
And I'll do an incantation for you :H
I tried some add hot water noodles for the last time about five years ago. By the way did you read the ingredients on the packet?

Come on over.... the weather's beaut. And you'd have instant Undie friends all over the place. And I'm sure Gina would give Mr B a job. 'cept it would be in WA.

She's one of those lovely calm women who always seems to have something nice on her mind. We'll do a nice big and long fireside lunch with lots of little tasting-plate type dishes; a little supper and an early night followed by a fantastic brunch on Sunday morning after which she'll bugger off again. Ideal visitation.

Have a lovely weekend, my fellow Undiearians. Don't let any shit clog your chakras.

Nicey Pie ingredients purchased and I may well bung it together before bedtime.

I am very proud of your socialisation programme Froglette.
I was going to get a pressure cooker for when I was going to sail the world. But I hate braise and I hate stew. So there wouldn't have been much point.

11-12 degrees in Wellington Happy In other words f*********ng freezing!! I am determined to do the mid winter swim this year, so I am going to try to acclimatize myself over the next few weeks, but I'm mostly going to do my distance swims in the pool!!

But it is nicer up north!!
And it's nicer in OZ. So whats keeping you there... Oh yes... Mr B's boy.

All my days are unplanned but sometimes the flow is a bloody torrent!

I can't believe it!!!! I had to have minor surgery to my eyes on Thursday evening and they forgot to mention that it would be a few, just a freaking few, days before I could see properly again. I've been hyperventilating on and off ever since......

Gotta tell you though, I've had a love affair with a packet of frozen peas!!

Didn't get to ride my pink bike but did give her a bit of a dust, rubbed her seat and straightened her basket.

                        Hugs, Nicey.
Ahhh aren't Edgell frozen peas THE best ice packs. What did you have done? droopy eyelids? I've been thinking about having my eyelids done. But I don't like pain.
                        My bike is boring grey.

In essence I think this is a banana cream pie without the cream on top, our American friends can correct me if I'm wrong. Crust was lovely and it was easy. Had show off photos of my golden eggs etc but thought best keep this brief.
And you didn't have to pay $12.99 a kilo for them. :H

I was out and about and missed the whole cooking comp but will make one this Thurs morning to take over to my mate.

BTW who won the canned chook comp?
