    For once the channels aligned and I managed all of Revenge - sneaky channel 7 - and 90% of Offspring...feel like I cheated on Channel 10...will have Sunny fill me in on the blanks...

        Morning Tf and doodyheads to come,

        Whilst i am in no way Listist, do i ever write em for meself? NO! Well, not often, unless shopping for specifics. But, i'm a big advocate for lists at work. They don't need to be long or complex, just a couple of simple bullet points. Very useful for folk who get a little distracted. (like me) I'm like the mechanic who fixes everyone elses car, but drives an old bomb!

        Right. I'm writing a list, then gift wrapping it so i can find it.

                I love lists at work, they make me a better manager. I use them at home occasionally but usually lose them after I mark one thing off. Didn't get to watch Offspring last night. Will have to watch online today. I am going to the morning movie. Hubs is working on my nerves but I am not sure if it is his fault or my hormones. Anyways, eating brownies for breakfast. Need to pop in the shower.

                  Can I interrupt for a little grumble? I'm on the Board of a voluntary agency, which has no idea of the seperation of roles between paid employees, volunteers and Board members, leading to some very unsatisfactory situations, no accountability and a lot of internal conflict. And all the energy that should be going into imporving the service that we are trying to povide is going into petty politics and arguments. Me and the Board chair have been putting a huge amount of work in trying to clarify roles and responsibilities, so that we have momre open and transparent decision-making processes. Two days ago some shit hit the fan - long story short, another Board member has been telling a staff member that I want to get rid of her, and has also been stirring with other Board members. I rang her today to have an open conversation with her, and she got really ugly with me. I just feel like throwing in the towel, but I really care about the cause.

                      Hang in there Missy. As long as you know you are doing the right thing, whatever anyones interpretation is doesn't matter. The best you can do is what you are trying to do, have a conversation with her. Hang in there, she is probably reacting out of emotion, and will calm down and come back around to resolve the conflict. Thinking of you. Just hang in there.

                        Don't let her undermine the good Missy. If you can't have an open and honest chat with her, have one with the whole lot of them. There always seems to be one that gets bogged down in the games and forgets why they're there.

                          Missy - you're not the type to throw in the towel. Maybe a bike ride or big walk to vaporise her ugly words is in order?

                              Missy, do hang in there. I work on a lot of volunteer boards and the nonsense that goes on is so ridiculous. It really is about the end result and not all the turmoil that goes on between start and finish.
                              People will get their knickers in a knot about the most ridiculous stuff. I hope it doesn't put you off, the world needs people who will dig in and help out.
