Just had the loveliest time reading back to where we were this time last year. Really nice to see who posted. In order it went:

Happs, Bridge, Frog, Sunny, Mr.G, Sapphy, Rags, Reggie, Missy, Lillypond, Ficks, Kaza, Aspy, Angelcakes, Charlottes Web, Beagle, Boycie and Panadol.

I really hope that those who are no longer here and posting are happy and well and that life is treating them gently.

Hmmmm Sunny .... this sounds like a serious nesting instinct coming into play!!! Pretty soon, you will be wanting to vacuum, dust and clean out the kitchen cupboards!! Just don't give into any instinct that tell you to mop the floors or climb anything. I've now got my bet on baby-Sunny being born this month rather than June :H:H I know this isn't very scientific, but ......

I miss all the Undies that have moved on too. Hopefully some of them are lurking and might put in the odd post.

Sunny and TF - thanks for the comments re my current situation. Actually I don't think it will end until Mr B's boy is post-secondary school. This isn't me/us being paranoid, but about the ex- showing some borderline personality disorder stuff. We manage it as best we can. As the boy gets older, he is starting to understand more of what has been going on. It is very hard to vent sometimes - he loves his mum to bits, but she is a really nasty piece of work and incredibly manipulative and dishonest. And she has had a crap upbringing from the time she was a pre-schooler and if she was an anonymous person I would have the utmost sympathy for her. But we constantly run a tightrope that is about trying to find a middle ground that recognises the boy's lack of comfort, without wanting to undermine his attachment to his mum, because all of my experience says that if that relationship breaks down, then there are all sorts of negative consequences. If I don't always want to vent it is because it is because of the constant fight between my heart and my brain and my politics.

Yay - it's Friday!!

Even better - it's pay-day!! So I've just paid my outstanding bills, and later this morning I'm going to buy a birthday present for my 3-year old name sake, and a book that I've ben wanting to get for a few months.

Reg - you are a gem as usual!

BTW - is the tv show G.C. showing in Australia? It is a NZ one - haven't seen it myself, but apparently it is a national embarressment ...... about a bunch of kiwi 20-something year old guys living on the Gold Coast. Everything I have heard about it makes me cringe ......

I set my alarm for 5.30 and that was dark - mind you I dont need to set it as Maysi flips my mobile off my bedside cabinet every morning to wake me up to feed her...cats...worse than chooks...got light about ten to six.

Havent seen GC Missy. It could be on Fox which we dont have. I really hate those type of cringey shows. They set out to show the worst in people or cultures.
