Hey all. I worked with someone who said she finally gave up nursing when she was pushing her older child through the grocers and he yelled out 'I want some titty, Momma!' Just in my and friends, family's experience, Babies naturall wean themselves between about 10-12 months. Every one of the moms told me it was much more devastating for them, than the baby. Just saying. I just never wanted my kids to be old enough to remember what my boobs looked like!! :H
I'd love to go too, Fen. Don't feel like going to Jack's game tomorrow (fir2st one I've missed) but I talked to him last night about how great his performance was, then he immediately asked how my 'cast' was feeling! :H When I said 'not to real good, Jacks', he said 'awwwwh, Mimi. I'm sorry'. Gawd. Wish Hubs was that considerate!!
Nora, do you think the depression is just missing AD's a couple of days? When I do that, I know I can feel it physically (shocks) and emotionally. Hope you get on an even keel soon. Get some good, relaxing herbal tea, honey.

ATL - I really wish I could to your school....I used to attend stufff and smile and play all nice and as soon as I left, I couldn't even remember names. There was alway this fakey nice stuff going on and I didn't have time for it. I weas heavier then too, but I didn't care.
Just be happy with you and your precious family and your lovely life and SCREW them!!
One of my nephews goes to Galloway and the other to Westminster....I love my family more than alcohol.:h

Oh, ATL, 'back in the day' that's what killed so many new mommas. No antibiotics, no good hygiene, and docs were few and far between. (In the good ole days). How some had 15 -20 kids I can't imagine! My g-g'ma died at 21 giving birth (late 1800's).

Rubes - I don't know if the depression is just from missing the AD's. Probably that and all the stress leading up to my tests. Just taking it easy today. Watching People's Court. :H At least I'm not that bad off. :H

On a Tudors note -- it's what killed Jane Seymour MB. That's why they say call if your fever goes above a certain amount. The assembly was okay. At this point I am not much heavier than many of those harpies though not where I was-- guess I am 20 from where people would think I should be and 40 from where I want-- we just are not on the same wave length and I am not a helicopter mom so there is not much commonality in our parenting styles. Worse-- being around them makes me want to drink-- so you can understand why it is a battle because I work at school a ton for Lukes benefit when I am feeling okay (and when I am not too at times). I am sure you are much prettier than any of the other moms. I need to lose about 80 pounds. I had lost about 40 a couple years ago and then stopped and gained some of it back. But, I'm ready to get back to it. Not drinking, exercise, happy lifestyle. I'm going to lose most of it.

That's the attitude Nora!! I will say this-- one thing I noticed is that it took a long time for my metabolism to recover from the damage that booze had done to it. It is very true that age affects metabolism but even more I think that booze does somehting to it too-- it has been a looong time since I drank and I am just now getting to where I am losing consistently. Part of it was activity level also of course. When you lay around due to illness you will not lose much weight even if you starve. So there is that. Just staying committed is hard to do since it is so long term. I thought it would just fly off when I stopped drinking the extra whatever it has to be a day-- 1000 cals-- I don't know-- and eating the crap that went with that. but it didn't. That was so disheartening. Then like many other things I started getting concerned I would ruin this trip to Ireland for Mark by being so heavy that I could not walk all over creation and I just could not do that. It's pretty sad to say but I am much better at meeting a goal when others needs are bound up in it. The trip is booked and paid for and is happening so there was no way I was going to screw it up. Or at least go down with a fight!
Alright-- time to go serve up some jello-- Mark has been gone on this golf outing since 6 this morning-- they left in a limo-- I do not even want to imagine what shape they will be in when they return.Comment
