    ATL...that is bad about the suicide. One of the kids friends did irt a couple months ago(16). I think about it everyday(his Mother)...watching the end of survivor...

        FIL went to the E.R. last night. Complications from chemo. He has two more weeks of this.

        His doc told him that if everything goes perfectly, he could have two more years...I think that's highly unlikely. Like hell would freeze over unlikely.

          ATL, as we've spoken, this is a horrible tragedy for a parent. I try to stay up-to-date, watching trends, both with my kids ans grands, but even that is not enough. Sometimes parents just don't realize how desperate kids get. Bullying is a HUGE issue now, and we should take it seriously.
          I'm SO sorry this has happened, to all involved. Those left behind never recover completely, mostly from misplaced guilt, and the guilt becomes it's own prison.. I remember lying on our couch, trying to will my 'boy of the week' to call me. He didn't (though he later did, and I was SO over it). I'm so sorry for Mark and his friend, but what a great friend Mark is to drop everything and be by his side. That says worlds about his compassion, even though he may not practice it daily at home. Just glad Luke is not involved, and hope he never has this happen in his circle. You are a great mom, dear.
          Heard from Vick and Kell yesterday. Kell's back home now, reluctantly, but she looks SO beautiful and healthy, and has gained so much self confidence.

              Hi folks I'm back, funeral difficult, but an amazing turn out. Did drink but managed to keep in control. So pleased to see you back Ruby, I am now determined to stay sober.

                    Good Morning everyone - welcome back Paula - so good to see you back - good to hear you plan on staying sober. I am not surprised you drank over there - would have been amazed if you hadn't, but you sounded as if you handled it all well. I am happy you are back :l

                    I slept in this morning until 7.15! I was SO tired and drained last night. Went to bed fairly early and read til i fell asleep. I just had two Guinness - the 2nd one I didn't really want and had it anyway - silly Huh? I should listen to my body....

                    Fen - sorry to hear FIL was back in ER - cannot believe the doctor saying he could have 2 more years - was the doc on drugs????? That seems such a wrong thing for him to say in light of what FIL has - I agree with you - there is NO way!! Talk about giving false hope......

                    ATL - so sorry about the suicide - gosh, so hard for the parents and the friends of the teen too......

                    Hi Rubes..... how are you doing? How are you feeling these days? did you get the cast off yet? And how is the back pain doing? I assume it has eased up?

                    Off to try and get the pup to stop bothering Hubs who is trying to sleep - she keeps jumping on the bed trying to get him to play - I suggested shutting the bedroom door but I think he likes that she is trying to get him to play!!

                      I am here....long, fun day yesterday......the beach was chilly and VEY windy but I didn't care.....we people watched and studied the jellyfish that were all over the beach....adn I walked and walked and walked...I love the sound of the surf...then we went to the Conch House...a 1940's era inn and restaurant and had gator tail....Bret has some beer and I had tea...and the boys were sweet and funny all day
                      then we raced home, took showers and went to nan's....whew
                      ATL- I am so sorry about the devestatnig news......and I agree with Mimzey's comments abuot how sweet Mark is being....
                      Sun - glad you got some rest....enjoy your puppy!!!
