I have the really tall branches for the uprights...and tons of smaller ones to build up the fence. I never saw anything like it until I went to Norway last summer. My dad's folks came from Gudbrandsdalen, Norway.

Finally home. LONG day today.
Paula - I'm glad that you had some fun in Ireland. I always wanted to go there.
Fennel - have a great time planting your garden. Sounds great. We are enjoying our radishes that are ready now. A pumpkin has started to grow and a tomato. Yahoo - everything is starting now.
ATL - sorry about your headache. I'm glad that you talked to Mark about the plans with his friend. I imagine that he should stick close to home & his family right now.
Bird - watch out for the flood. wow - first tornadoes and now floods!!!
Rubes - going to check out the patterns for crochet. It's funny that you brought that up today. I was just thinking yesterday that I wanted to pull out my stuff and start crocheting again.
When you do talk to Roger, give him my love.
Sunni - hope you had a good day at work. I didn't! what a stressful day. Geez.
Ok - got to run. I'll be back later - probably after you all are in bed. :H:h"Only I can change my life. No one can do it for me.".....Carol Burnett

Fen-- that fence is way cool. Can you build that all alone? You are a Renaissance woman!
Luke got one of those dumb made up awards at the baseball banquet-- I hate that-- just give the trophy-- they give them to all the kids which I am not even into but okay they are little kids so okay-- but they don't have to make up some BS award. His buddy of course was essentially the MVP -- a real award-- and other awards are like most enthusiastic practicer ( not Luke) or straightest thrower. Luke was most improved defensive player as opposed to best defensive one which I guess is the real award-- please-- just give them the trophy.okay-- no more rant.
Fen-- did you go from Dublin and on-- Or Shannon in Ireland?
Nora-- sorry you were stressed. I wish I could crochet-- my nanny taught me a little bit when I was a girl but I don't remember a thing. She could knit and crochet and I have several afghans she made me.
Better try to sleep-- I have been anxious all day.

Oh gosh - what a LONG night at work!!! Anyway - am home now. Cool looking fence Fen!! How does it work to keep critters out??? Or maybe I am not seeing it from the right angle? Anyway it looks really neat..... THAT should keep you out of mischief for a while - LOL.
Insurance is going to pay for a new roof and new siding on the end of the house where the hail damaged it - now all we have to do is find a contractor. We have had 50 folk call us since the storm trying to get our business - I feel like carrion with all the vultures circling - this area has been declared a disaster area and everyone has been coming up here and trying to get in on the act - we just don't even answer the phone any more. we will try to get a local company that we know although heaven knows when they will get to us.
Oh - hubs came and started chatting - have just got back - now it is time for bed!!
Sleep tight everyone.

ATL if you get time try and get up to Belfast to have a look at the Titanic exhibition. Fascinating. It's about a 3 hour bus ride from Dublin but well worth the trip.
Oh and a visit to Butlers is a must.

JC a lot of my family and friends are from both the north and south of Ireland, and are the most friendly hospitable people I have met. I would have liked to have got to the Titanic exhibition but unfortuanately time was limited. Went to Giants causeway, and didn't need an umbrella.!.

Dublin is well known for it's friendly people! Of course it helps if you are a friendly, nice person when you come visit, we don't suffer fools gladly

I am ashamed to say that I am Irish and have NEVER seen The Giants Causeway! Another one for the bucket list!"It's not your job to like me, it's mine!"

Good Morning everyone!
I slept in until 8.00 this morning - and the dogs let me! And Katie still didn't have an accident!! She is doing really well - of course it helped taking her out at 1.00 this morning but even so!!
MY DAY OFF - YEAH! I am going to work out in the garden today.
Morning Bird - yes, we are so pleased about them paying for the roof - at one point thought they weren't going to pay full price !! WHEW!! Now just have to try to find someone to do it, not that there is any rush as it isn't bad.
I have never been to Ireland - strange when you consider my love of Guinness - LOL but it is somewhere we never went when I still lived in UK.
OK - off to sit on the step and stare with the dogs and enjoy the morning sunshine for 10 mins. Back later. It is a lovely morning out and today is not meant to be too hot so it should be good for the garden!
Hugs to all,

Morning everyone!!
Fen - I was wondering if you were going to put chicken wire over it. Does look cool though.
Bird - When are the kids out of school? Are you going to be able to slow down then????
Sunni - sorry you had to work late last night but enjoy your day off.
Paula - Hope you have a wonderful day (or is it night there now?)
Rubes - Good luck at the dentist today. Yuck - know that is not going to be fun.
Mama - where you be?
Ok everyone - got to run. Taking Scott to get two crowns. Have to drop him off, go to work, pick him up when he's done, bring him home, go back to work. I'm trying to find out about taxis and medical transport. He hasn't had his license for 5 years and this is just too hard. Oh well - such is life. Not a big thing in the grand scheme of things is it? :H
