Hi My dear Jan - I am out in the garden weeding - what on earth else do I EVER do out there - LOL. SO many weeds, so little time...... came in to try and call a couple of roofing contractors. This is going to take some time - they are all snowed under!!

Giants causeway-- I will have to look that up. Unfortunately I don't think we are getting to Belfast this trip. Our route takes us from Shannon to Dublin with loads of stops in between and then a flight from Dublin to London for 2 days in London-- that was the surprise Mark set up so we could go to one of Gordon ramsey's Michelin starred restaurants-- my father in law asked if he was going to curse at us when we were there. I have heard the people in Ireland are super friendly-- my husband is almost 100% Irish and I would not trade him of course ;-) His brothers who went to Dublin recently really liked the parks there-- among other things-- but that surprised them-- not sure why but maybe they were not expecting that.

Did the ice cream social for the 2nd graders at school-- they look so cute in their school uniforms. Hockey championship tonight (first elimination)-- if Mark's team wins tehy are champs 3rd year straingh-- if they lose they can still win it all Sunday I think it is, he will leave to go to his friend but they are trying to decide when, understandably the wife wants a say and I ams ure she and his other kids need him-- when everyone goes away maybe it would be more appropriate--that is when people seems to forget and he may feel really more down-- now everyone is still around. I don't know-- how do you imagine the unimaginable?

Met the trainer today-- hope I don't croak when we work out.

I think Mark agrees too-- this is his friend pushing for it-- I think there were marital problems before-- the friend wants to escape his pain-- but he has to remember his children-- even if he is not sensitive to the pain of his wife now (which I think is awful). mark told him as much that he is mad with grief, but he can't leave his children-- they are lost-- especially the twin. I need Mark here anyway to help me with Luke's bday party-- I do enough of his activities by my lonesome and I would rather not do this one alone too.

Just looked up Giants Causeway-- it is in Northern Ireland and I think we will have to that next time since we are only doing the other parts-- we can't go into Northern Ireland with the rental car (for whatever reason). It does look gorgeous though. I have read that lots more folks go to Belfast and Northern Ireland than used to. Maybe that will be a separate trip one day. Next we have to go to my homeland (Italy)-- maybe after Luke graduates from high school! Off to carpool!

I'm fine MB, doing well at the moment. Life seems good, hope it is for you, sth Ireland is not part of UK, so hire car covers EU. We couldn't go sth with our car. You can get a bus. It is so much better in north now that they have a peace agreement.

despite little issues here and there I am well...but that's life, isn't it.
I know NOTHING about Ireland but would LOVE to go.....my plan was a tour of Europe for my 20th wedding anniversary, but that's about the time hubs business went under....sigh
