Finally home from work..... it is so hot here now. I always wear clogs - ordered in from UK and today as I had sorted my sumemr clothes, decided to wear a skirt and so wore a new pair of sandals, bought from hotters in UK when I was there - they were SO comfy - they are extra wide etc., etc. OH MY GOSH. half an hour after I got there I wanted those things off my feet. I wanted my clogs back. Clogs are all I ever ever wear!!!!! I usually walk about 6 mph - everyone was laughing at me as I was crawling about at little old lady speed trying to spare my feet....... ended up leaving a little early so I could come home and get those things off my feet.......RELIEF!!!!! Hotters shoes are usually so comfy - guess after millions of years of wearing just clogs my feet didn't know what I had on. Bummer. I have so many skirts too.....

Anyway, here I am - am off tomorrow and plan on making an asparagus fritatta and a lemon raspberry tart - they both look delicious!!

I have never watched the Two Fat ladies...... oh the two recipes I just mentioned were both from an English veggie mag I was looking at on my lunch break....

Nora - I have always been too nervous about putting all my money stuff on a thing on the computer - worried someone will hack into it I suppose..... did you get it finished?

ATL - your torture should be over by now - golly, I could not bear to have to do that..... poor you.

Just a quick update on Rog. He's still under tremendous pressure, now from ex who who should be handling all the crap he's doing. Talked at length about his options, but he no longer has internet. Trying to be able to move out on short notice. Sue does have surgery Monday to implant a a TENS unit Transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia to help with her constant neck and back pain. The trial run worked well, so hoping it will help her out. I told him everyone was concerned about him, too.
I'm better, which is relative. Hubs has been a treasure.
ATL, SO sorry about the fall. That's my constant worry now. Awful feeling, isn't it, KNOWING you're going down and can't help it. Glad there's no lasting damage. Hope the party was fabulous. You are the greatest mom!! GAWD, I remember those days. (but mine were usually accompanied by sleep-overs. You have that to come!!!!! :H)
Paula, so proud of you keeping so strong. Yes, I believe she's pouring her strength into you.

Oh - apparently it is a tortilla not a fritatta and I didn't have any garlic - darn it!! And it wasn't quick and easy despite what the recipe said - parboil the spuds, cook the onions separately, plunge the asparagus into boiling water then into iced water, cook the courgettes separately for 7-8 mins, LOTS of pots and pans, fire alarm going off LOL. Anyway it is in the oven finally. Watch this space .... might wait and do the raspberry lemon tart tomorrow.....

I am back Nora - yes, the recipe was a bit of a bother - actually I meant smoke alarm, not fire alarm! LOL It turned out okay, not sure if I would bother doing it again - probably just stick with my own version of fritatta - I love spinach too and often make a friatta type thing with frozen spinach in it and can always put asparagus in that too. I am going to make the raspberry lemon tart tomorrow. It looks lovely - ingreidents are just eggs, sugar, cream, zest and juice of lemons and raspberries and a sweet pastry tart base. i love lemons and raspberrries together.

I got home today and took 3 tsp of l-Glut and two Kudzu and poured a guinness - and it was still half full three hours later!! just didn't want it. I just need to make myself remember to take the kudzu! I am also up to a high dose of the Topa but can feel the depression coming back. I will have to see how I go......

anyway - I think I am going to think about getting ready for bed. I am half way through a letter to my mum but don't feel like carrying on with it - feel like crawling into bed to be honest.

Good Morning everyone- hi Paula.... hope you have a good sunday. I walk a fine line with the Topa - it works for me at 300mg BUT I also get a deep depression when I get to this level - I am hoping I can either weather it out, or it won't happen this time, or else I will have to go back down again - along with the supps, it does seem to help - last night I just did NOT want to drink. It is really quite ironic - I had poured it and my head wanted it - but my body definitely did NOT. I ended up almost finishing it, but drank a lot of water for the rest of the evening. Anyway, I shall see - might take the high level of topa for another day or two and play it by ear.....

Well, it is my day off and I am still up at 5.00. the puppy woke me up so I got up to put her out and then by the time I had fed both dogs, I thought there was no point in going back to bed!! It is going to be a scorcher here today, so might go out in the garden when it gets light enough to see the weeds and work out there for a little while. then come in and clean and sort a couple of cupboards that have got in rather a mess. My youngest daughter is coming over today to put high and lowlights in my hair. So have a busy day planned.
