    Rubes, I'm glad the weather will be good...I plan on finding enough gold, Civil War artifacts, Native American artifacts, etc. to get a whole museum created. Or, to adorn your cabin.

    I can't wait to get down there. I will post pics so that our friends (and foes) will be entertained for days. :h

      Ha - now you see why I wanted a new couch?!? :H Casey was so sweet to think of us and get it from his friend. But, it had seen better days before he even brought it over here.
      We picked a nice, grey couch.

      We couldn't get a pic of the eclipse but it was cool. Made a cardboard thing to project it. We were like a couple of little kids out there watching it.

      Fen - can't wait to see pics! I told Rubes to take LOTS of pics!! I'm just so jealous that I can't join you.

      Rubes - great talking to you today. :l

      Has anyone talked to ATL today? I'm sure she was exhausted after yesterday.

        Well - guess everybody is in bed already. Hope you all have a great night & wonderful day tomorrow.

        Fen - forgot to tell you that I bought an Adele CD yesterday. :H Knew you would get a kick out of that. I haven't listened to it yet though.

        Casey called a little bit ago. He just got off work and was heading out to Burbank to be an extra in a music video. No idea what band or anything. I'll keep you posted. My son, the famous actor. :H

        Bird - I absolutely loved the pics you posted on facebook. Your girls are so beautiful. That Tom Sawyer show looked like it was great.

        Has anyone heard from Swannie lately? I think of her so often.

          Nora, I'm a nightowl lately, unfortunately. Yes, time differences suck! Hubs will be up in a minute for another day of terrorizing the villagers.
          I started this hours ago but early mornings get loud and crazy here. I'll try to be back tonight. Time for my nap now. :H

            I am home. Tired and sore. And I drank....alot....no need to fib, but I'll tell you...it wasn't very fun. I think that's good thing, too.
            Going back to bed, but needed to come here and fess up. All is well....I will read back later.

              Nice to see you Ruby :l Glad that the pain is getting somewhat better - YEAH to being able to eat solid food again !! Not sure that a cheeseburger is good though ... how about a nice veggieburger instead - LOL !

              Yes Nora - I see what you mean about the couch - but it looks lovely for napping on!!

              No Nora, I haven't heard from Swannie in absolutely ages......

              No, I haven't seen ATL either - she must be exhausted after the party - I know I would have been. no, I wouldn't 'cos I wouldn't have done it! LOL. the mere thought makes me cringe.....

              My lemon raspberry tart was really disappointing for the time, expense and effort that went into it. Oh well - we learn through experience eh? One day I will find a really good recipe for a lemon raspberry tart.

              Have to go in for the meeting this morning and then close tonight. Going to buy Daisy a bark collar today as she is driving us all batty with her constant barking. we have got to the point where we have to keep the curtains closed in the lounge as she barks at everything that goes by outside now, which isn't a lot, but enough that it gets really annoying. And as she is deaf, we have to go TO her to tell her to be quiet! And outside is getting stressful as I have to get up from what I am doing every two minutes to tell her to be quiet. They seem to be quiet humane from what I can gather anyway - have a warning 'noise/vibration' before they give a gentle shock and the shock raises if they continue to bark - I hate to do it but we have to do something. SIGH.

              Back later - need another cup of tea.....

                  cross post Jan - I am sorry that you didn't have fun - well, I am not sorry if it was 'cos you drank....... Oh Jan...... :l I am curious though - why didn't you take your Antabuse? Oh gosh Jan - what are we going to do with you? go and get some sleep.... feel better :l

                    i guess I planned on drinking Sun.....
                    and it was stupid because now I feel horrible. I actually feel like I have the flu and it's my own darn fault....
                    I did have fun, but I would have had just as much fun sober.....probably more.
                    I just CAN"T drink.....it is so simple, really.....

                        Sorry you had a lousy weekend, mama. Are there any NA beers at these events? I had an O'Doul's Amber while grilling on Saturday night, and it was actually pretty decent. I know you have a taste for beer like I do...and that particular type is very good.
