Blood donor

I sometimes wonder if the blood that I give as a donor has an alcoholic effect on the person who receives it.

I found that when I tried to give after I had been drinking....that I wouldn't bleedvery well. Was all dried up. Nothing left to give. The damn platelets just wouldn't flow. I'd set there for hours. Sometimes they would finally give up on me. But they still let me have the cookies and the t-shirt! Generous red-cross people! I owe them lots of donations now that my blood is healthier!

I went into a Red Cross Center @ work to donate.........my blood was so bad they wanted to give me blood! Ha! I'm taking so many meds. they'll never want my blood......IAD.

I think the blood is filtered. Because if someone was taking medication that could be passed on to someone else who may have an allergic reaction if it wasn't . I'll have to ask my Daughter, she is a nurse
