(Dog) Food for thought...
It seems like most of us here have pets and they are part of our family. How about sharing with us something quirky or strange that your particular pet or pets eat? We have a dog named Freddie and he's a poodle-griffon cross. He was a stray that we found 12 years ago. He loves cucumber peel. In fact, if you put a doggie treat next to the cuke peel, he'll eat the peel first. He also likes most cooked veggies including okra and lentils and I discovered lately that he likes Kefir (fermented milk) as well. He laps up a couple of tablespoons every morning when I drink mine and surprise!! - his breath has improved - doesn't smell as bad as it used to.
Peeps, meet Freddie!!
For every 60 seconds that you are angry, you lose a minute of happiness.

these are my chickens Poppy and Daffodil. They like to eat chicken, eggs, curry, chinese, left overs, strawberries, stale bread, and if that fails then they'll munch on chicken pellets or whatever is on the bottom of my shoes ....
I have a drink problem, I have been AF since 15 March 2011 and I am working hard to stay that way
They don't call me Pingu Purple Pants for nothing....

My cocker spaniel is a walking garbage compactor. He ate a whole cherry pie once. Then a bag of dried apricots. A package of chocolate marshmallow cookies. And used sanitary pads (ewww). If it's laying around, he'll eat it. (Even if it's not laying around...he REALLY stretched to get to the kitchen counter).:heart:I love my daughter more than alcohol:heart:
Believe in yourself. You are stronger than you think.

This is Alfie the Shih Tzu (Shit Tzu because he is hyper and bold and naughty and a pain in the arse but we love him)
We have an African Grey baby called Gypsy and a Pineapple cheeked Conure called Cosmo (who is also a little bleeder and just repeats us when we give out to him but again we love him)
We also have an outdoor cat called Ziggy who is half wild but is a great rat catcher.
We have fish too but they don't really count according to Ava.."It's not your job to like me, it's mine!"

This is Lucky. I found him in a dumpster as a newborn tied in a garbage bag and left to die. Thus, his name.
he is the most laid-back gentle animal I have ever owned. HE PURRS WHEN HE GETS A BATH!!!!:H
In my life I have had the following:
5 cats
3 dogs
1 rat
2 birds

Cooper is our Chocolate Lab and has his place in the kitchen when I am chopping or prepping, he has his favorite fruits and veggies. His favorite treat though are strawberry flavored marshmallows. Too funny, I buy a bag of the flavored marshmallows and he will literally spit all but strawberry back at me. We are alike like that. Strawberry anything Rocks!

Gorgeous thread, Stirly - many thanks. My Henry (as ictured in my avatar) is the star of the show around here, we recently added young Esme ( a 5 month old kitty) to help Hen with his social skills :H:H and it was a wise move....they simply adore each other and love cleaning each other after they've eaten each others' brekkie/dinner :H:H I LOVE the animals, they are so healing.
ThANks for the great idea for the thread, Stirls - I'll get some more pics up some time, hopefully x
