    Oney's Eat Right NOT Shite Thread.

    No, you're NOT. It's a huge lifestyle change. I try to visualize what foods are doing to my body, and that makes it so much easier. The transition might need to be slow so you can compare how you feel eating good versus bad.

      But when I saw the list of things you got I did worry !!

      Make just one small change a week.
      First is eat breakfast.
      When that's done and you are happy - move to something else.
      Don't try it all together it won't work - trust me !:l

        Hey Oney-bint - what's wrong? I think Satz might have a good point there. Maybe you are trying to change too many things all at once. Maybe you need to just do one change, say, once a week and then every week, add one more thing. Eating breakfast could be the change for week one, but stick with your coffee. If you let yourself get stressed out about it, you're not going to enjoy the changes. You've had a lot on your plate the past few days. I know that the readings took a lot out of you, plus you've got Ava's communion tomorrow and I know you're worried about the weather and such. So just ease up on yourself for the next couple of days. Maybe start over on Monday. Sending you :huggy's. How's about a cup of soothing tea and a little meditation. Hope you get a good night's sleep.

          Now then Oney,

          Today by all accounts was a pig of a day.
          It's not like you're trying to loose weight for a specific cause like a holiday or a special occasion. You're trying to change your whole outlook on food and it's fecking hard. I know from experience.

          Believe me when I started my changing habits it was awful for the first few weeks. Me without chocolate....nooooooooooooooo, but it can be done.

          Today I've had a day off from SW. Tomorrow I'll get back on the plan. It's all I can do.

          Oh and nobody but nobody will take me coffee off me or there'll be right trouble.
          It could be worse, I could be filing.

            Thanks so much guys, it's been such a hard day.

            I do think I am trying too much all at once. I will do one change a week, then it won't be so huge.

            Since I never eat breakfast, that will be the first, a healthy breakfast every morning.

            Week one challenge.

              Ok Day One of WEEK ONE.

              Plan...

              1. Healthy breakfast (as I never eat breakfast)
              2. 1.5 litres of water (as I drink no liquids during the day at all)
              3. 1 piece of fruit to be eaten (unheard of)
              4. 1 vegetable to be eaten (Very rare)
              5. Mulitvitimin to be taken (bought and put in press and always forgotten about)

              I need to start small, the habits I have are so ingrained that it will take time to change them. I think I took on too much last week, trying to change everything at once.

              So baby steps, I will do the above for a week and then next week incorporate some new ones on the list.

              So here's to week one!

                Porridge done, not the most palatable shite on the face of the earth but I got it down (egg and brown bread 2moro morn and then back to porridge again.)

                Starting on the water now....me body won't know what hit it!

                  Water going down ok. I think it is just a matter of getting used to drinking during the day...

                  Home made Shepherds pie on the go for dinner.

                  Going to class tonight and we usually have food but it is of the salady variety.

                  Had noodles for lunch, not great but defo a step in the right direction.

                      Hey Oney what about getting some flavoring for your water? You know could be sugar free with nothing bad in it. If it makes it easier to drink why not? As for porridge, gag me with a spoon personally. Me, I'd rather have an English muffin or something but I don't know the things you like. I'm not a big hot cereal fan myself

                        Pretty pox ridden Hart!!

                        This morn was MUCH better. Poached egg and toast. I was actually starving this morning!

                        Going to scarf down something of the fruit variety now and get that out of the way.

                        Only managed 1.5 pints of water yesterday, plan to do better today.

                            Oney I have started this eat right not shite thing with ya, started yesterday
                            I HAD: a workout, lots of weights and a little cardio then an l glute tablet and a protein shake, for lunch mince and veg (no potatoes) and for tea i had prawn vegetable curry no rice and a protein shake and 3 naughty biscuits at AA.

                            This morning ive done a small work out and half an lglute tablet and hopefully some porridge
                            I love people who make me laugh. I honestly think it's the thing I like most, to laugh. It cures a multitude of ills. It's probably the most important thing in a person.

                              You put me to SHAME Pinky! Please keep posting what you are eating as it gives me ideas!

                              Yesterday was ok but NOT great.

                              Breakfast was poached egg and toast
                              Lunch was dreadful (don't ask but it was of the takeaway variety)
                              Dinner was home made Lasagne with baked potato and side salad.

                              About 10 pm I had 2 fishfingers and noodles.

                              Drank feck all water

                              Did no exercise.

                              Actually yesterday was quite bad...I will make today better.
