As many of friends here know, I have been struggling with my diet for a long time. Ditched the booze and the smokes but the horrendous diet still remains despite numerous attempts to rectify it.
I am lucky in that I am slim so not really looking to lose weight (about 4 pounds would be nice tho). I just need to cut the crap that makes me feel tired and lethargic.
My average day would consist of.....
2 cups of coffee in the morning
No breakfast
Bowl of those pack noodles and 2 waffles for lunch
Maybe a small plate of dinner (roast/pasta, curry)
Then at about 10 pm I will have chips or burger or sausages etc etc.
Can of Coke.
NO water
NO Supplements
At the weekend I could have up to 4 takeaway's.
So as you can see, things have to change, I can usually do things that I put my mind to, but this really, really is hard for me, this eating regime is ingrained in me and healthy food tastes YUCK and I don't enjoy it.
Having gotten into the holistic life and spirituality so much over the past couple of years, the diet is not helping, the people I mix with would not DREAM of eating what I do and the bottom line is, I WANT to be as healthy as I can be, inside and out.
I don't expect you to comment on this thread, I am using it like a journal as I did here when I was giving up the smokes and it worked so well for me. So i want to chronicle every day, what I eat and how my eating patterns change and who knows...I may even grow to like healthy food.
ANY help, tips, suggestions would be gratefully received, but I need to try and do this in baby steps so I don't get fed up and ditch the idea.
So off to the shops not to get some healthy things in..and some water, I drink NO water..ever..
In fact, I have eaten nothing so far today and it is midday. Told ya I was dreadful....so 2moro is D Day.......first day of my new diet and hopefully my new way of life.
