Not sure what you consider long term. Why don't you start a thread asking the long termers to post their time and bits of wisdom?

Righto Molly. Beetroot is extremely high in CoEnzyme Q10. CoQ10 is considered the "spark plug" of the mitochondria(energy cells) and helps in chelating(detoxing), particularly heavy metals. Very specific for liver and cardiovascular system. CoQ10 has long been sourced from sugar beets in Japan. The cheaper varieties are sourced from tobacco(which I would avoid). If anyone is on cholesterol lowering meds CoQ10 is a must.

Due to fear of loosing life and getting yours support , I have no craving at the moment .I am now thinking what would be in future if I get better in terms of health .Therefore, thinking ahead and trying to imagine how to stop re- lapse once get to normal health. This really matters !
Isn't it ???. When a person get back to normal usually forget the previous struggles and pains !!!!

Starting a AF or AL thread now !

                          Hi all,
I have learnt to cope with depression in the following way.
                          If trigger arrives,
-Just stop yourself and be standstill.
                          -Do breathing in & out.
                          -allow yourself to cry.
-Tell someone how am you feeling.
-Be alone so that you can observe own feeling.
-Don't judge any feeling just let it go..like a movie-camera it never judge that any pictures are either beautiful or not jut keeps capturing !!
-Don't focus to give up bad one but try to add some good habits.
-Try to share your treasurer to anyone either s/he is my enemy, just share don't think to whom you are sharing?.
-Don't worry about past and future but focus on present.
-Turn on music you like and start crying or dance as you like ..
                          - Feeling should be watching only never try to stop them allow flowing like a river either there is big rock or plain surface ..

But never drink to avoid depression , If you drink and be alone, there are always negative thoughts and they bring more negative. In other hand, if you are sober the negative things turn into positive if you are alone and sober only. How the big difference with the same actions in different state?
                          Any other ideas please !

Would like to add these line to my journey !
HI Nora, I am new here and i would also like to join in with the the others and dont go!!!!!! It doesnt matter if you have been sober for ten minutes or ten years; the truth of the matter is that we are all one drink away from a drunk!!!!!!!! I those who have made it to long term sobriety can sometimes unfortunatley forget this and for reasons best known to themselves also forget the struggle in the early days. As Techie and the others have said hang in there, fight this disease on your terms, this is your way out....there is not just one way....if there was , we would all have found it a long time ago. I am still struggling but along the way of my ten year battle I have found a wealth of wisdom in alternative health.......I feel authourised to give this advice not only to newbies but also to those who have been sober for quite some time. So whilst i havent cracked it yet, i have an awful of hard fought experience to share. In my battle my knowledge of natural medicine has been the only thing that has kept me alive. So we all bring different things to the table to share in our common goal of a better life.I dont care how many times a person falls down as long as they get back up again and keep trying. You go girl

                                Dixon, good job!

R.C. 's post is very good and she is very well informed about health. You seem to be doing well on your nutrition. If you have a juicer you can make vegetable drinks. I make kale, spinach, ginger apple and celery ones. Fresh lemon juice is also very good for the liver.

There is a book called 7 weeks to Sobriety written by a doctor who recommends all the supplements necessary for healing the body. It also recommends a diet. You can get a used one from Amazon pretty cheaply.

R.C. Thanks for the scoop on Co10. I wasn't aware of some of that info.

Keep up the good work Dixon.
