You're doing great Dixon. After time away from the bottle things start getting clearer don't they? We start getting more focus on the future instead of fearing it. Have you considered any kind of exercise yet? I think it would be a great compliment to what you are already doing. Stay strong Dix!

Of course ,I am now starting to seeing my future.
Re. Exercise, I do some inside jogging in my room and my meditation is all like celebration , dancing ,crying, jogging, laughing, weeping etc.. and after a while when I feel a bit of tired ,I lay down closing my eyes and just observe/watch the feelings like a mirror.
So physical exercise and mental/spiritual at the same time .How do you feel ?

Hi Dixon,
No, I have not had any alcohol since 1/8/12. At this point I don't miss it, don't want it, and make it my mission to stay as far away from it as possible. It does nothing but harm. You can do this Dixon!2023 - focus, getting it done, and living the way it should be and being the person I need to be.

17th day AF..
Hi
Just to share with you all that I have done my 17th day AF today.
I dint have any craving Until my 16th day of sobriety ,and my physical health has been improving .Now I have a little bit craving today as my body/liver start feeling stronger itself to process the AL. I am sure that it wont do for a long and might be a couple of days .There after the health will be more worsen. So my whole attention is now how to cope with the craving if they get stronger in coming days.I must be aware of
HALTS.
So focusing on coping aid as the following.
-Being aware with HALTS.
-Using supplements now am on Kudzu ,Milk Thistle and Cod liver .
- Being more meditative : it works perfectly for me when am alone but cant do it when I am at crowd .Lets say there is a get together so I cant concentrate on the evil effects of AL then worrying of relapse.Any Idea please ?
-Doing some light exercises.
-Hanging on MWO and other self help groups.
Any more idea please !

Dix,
Great work on 2 1/2 weeks. One thing that really helped me when a craving hit was thinking it through until the next day. Imagining if I drank how shitty I would feel the next day not only because all of the progress would be gone, I would have a hangover and have to start over again, if I could even start over again. Most times I would think since I got smashed might as well get smashed again and soon I'm back in the cycle. In your case you would have the liver issue coming back. Definitely not worth it and usually was enough for the urge to go away. HALT is a really important tool. Your doing great Dixon!2023 - focus, getting it done, and living the way it should be and being the person I need to be.

18th day ..
Allswell,
This idea is great ! I am now remembering stimulus response theory and thinking again and again for its bad effects...Sticking woth the words " stay away from a first sip ".
I had a couple of cravings this morning may be cause of hunger ?.I immediately took my breakfast and the craving has gone away. Now I am already at home so no possibility of drinking tonight.I never put any AL in stock . Whatever I buy finish at the same day so being a scary of too much drinking ,cant put any stock at home.
Now cool and surfing internet.
How about you ?

Depression and AL !
Hi all,
I think some depressed people are dependant on the alcohol and addiction .A depressed person cant manage moderate drinking .Is it true ?
Some people starts drinking in early age that creats depression after being depressed they become binge and alcoholic. likewise, a sober person who became depressive due to some tragedies in the life and try to cope with using Al and drugs and bebome addicted .Others use it as a fun initially and become depressive and then addicted ...In any case if one starts sufferring from depression cant carry on moderation .So we must control our depression first to remain sober.
Do you agree ?

Dix,
And, of course, the problems appear bigger and we become more depressed, turning to alcohol.
I have to comment on you; I have followed your story from you first arrived and I have to say that you sound like a changed person - actually probably back to the 'real you'; I love that you continue to post your feelings whether there are responses or not - you are really putting your heart and soul into this and it shows.
Your input on MWO is really beneficial to yourself and others so keep doing what you're doing! I can't believe it is the same person that posted 17 days ago. You deserve to give yourself this chance of a happy, healthy life.
Anyways, I just wanted to let you know how impressed I am and wish you all the best as you continue on your journey.........IT'S NEVER TOO LATE TO BE WHAT YOU MIGHT HAVE BEEN
Relapse starts long before the drink is drunk!!.Fresh Start!

DAISY,
Your post reply touched my heart.I am really giving all of the information by heart so that I could relieve myself and others can be benefited or MWO could get some researches on the pattern of recovery.
You are right I will post my thoughts and feeling here for sure.I tried twice here and left this site for a while so got no recovery at all.Now I am committted to continue my journey with this thread and lets see how does it work.
I feel a kind of joy that you read out my thread and want to assist me on my way out to this addiction.Tonight I woke up 3.00 am Uk time as I felt asleep early in the last evening , just swiched on the computer and viewing threads and stories of different collegues.I am slowly going to be an addictive with this site,
Oh, Though I am not fond of drinking tea ,I thought it might a help/substitute to my alcoholic drink.I akso know it is not better for depression cause of caffine contents.I am also confused how can I manage water and tea together as I amwater addicted too ...
Wish to get advices/eperiences and suggestions from all of you who are interested.
