Wow dixon you have came a long way well done :goodjob:Keep on doing what your doing as it seems to be working for you,You will always be getting the ups & downs when going AF or in fact stopping any other long term addictions,That's the way how bodies work,The more AF time you get the more you need to replace that dead time with something more constructive, maybe reinvent old hobbies or get into new ones, keep going and moving forward its so worth it.

      Dixon,

Not going to have internet for several days so I want to congratulate you now on your 60 day accomplishment. This is a remarkable achievement you should be very proud of. Since there is no such thing as perfection in life, you will have little odds and ends like moodiness or foggy brain, etc. but that doesn't come close to the hell associated with alcohol and the big problems associated with it.

      Excellent stuff Dixon!
2023 - focus, getting it done, and living the way it should be and being the person I need to be.

        Mario,
        How are you these days?
Glad, you have aneye on my thread after a long while ,may be you were busy own your way.
As you noted my points that I am on ups and down( definitely less when on AF time ) at the moment that might be chemical changes in my body.My old goal was to get a knowledge in different aspects of the life and materialistic, politital changes and its impact on the global environment and to do some social works .As you know I am broken with my family I have to show something different on myself first to the society so that they believe me again.
Could you please advise if you have any specific thread for recovery period.
        Thanks Mario again,

                Marking 60 day today !

                Everbody,
Just an update on my progress that I have now done my 60 days AF for the first time when I realised to quit it in 2009.It took a three years to get this achievements. It took almost one year to find out the information about Alcohol abuse and its consequences on the mental and physical health.Once realized its myth ,I started to finding the wayout for solution.I have googled different sites and be connected to a couple of sites and learnt so many things about Al's abuse.
Then firstly, tried my journey on last October 2010.Meanwhile , I firstly focused on medication as I got info.. that this is a physical disease as well as mental.I used Baclofen,Kudzu, other supplements and herbal treatments available in the internet.I readout a couple of books like big book AA,Myway out book,Alen Carrs book, and many resources whatever available in the market and online.I was reading out the books relating to depression and raising self esteem.
In this period, I have broken up with my family and started living alone. When living alone my Al consumption didnt have any specific time.I used to drink whenever I got a bit of time.I drank early in the morning without any breakfast. It went for almost an year.Meanwhile , I have noticed my liver is going to be damaged.
After breaking up with family, losing property and social prestige,I finaly supposed to give up my life to booze. When I was about to end my life , I decided to take a strong decision not to drink at all .My will power has gone up ...
I am now on only Kudzu and milk thistle and Oh anti depressant.
Its working greatly with the support of you all and my conviction.Eating and drinking large number of fruits and vegetables.
Now ,I am not feeling bad with craving and it almost gone for the time being.I have got my liver back to normal and keep other organs as normal but not brain.I am now focused on to tackle my a decade old depression pills and alcohol abuse .
Craving giving me relief and still fighting with depression .
                Thats all now fellows,
                Dix

                  Hi folks,
just a continuation of my thread that Ihave now completed my 61 days.I have been to a major party where spins of booze available in free of cost.I just took a full glass of cranberry juice and a portion of chicken barbeque.I found a strong willing power inside me against alcohol.Came back to home shopping at supermarket.Prepared dinner and lunch for tomorrow.cleaned up my small flat and ironed the dress for tomorrow.I have nothing to do tomorrow morning,so will get a shower and take a breakfast and go office. No procrastination at all. What a peace of mind?????
                  Good nite!!!

                    Hi Dixon

Congratulations on 60 days! I'm on day 35, just several weeks behind you.

You're sounding really good. I struggle with depression as well, and like you I hope some more AF time will help with that.

Have you tried gingko biloba for the forgetfulness?

                      Thanks Pixie,
Just a query ,have you used this supplement and benefited?
Medicines uses by depressed people like us are too much so scared of contamination.
I have found some where that milk thistle is harmful for those who are under anti depressants. No idea, too complicated to use many self prescribed medicines.
Anyway,I got it in H and B store.I do hope it works.
I appreciate for your any information.
