Reccie - where are you? I need help here!!!
I was composing something using "Microsoft Word" and I hit some button and what happened is the key I use to make this quotation mark " , now makes this quotation mark instead ? . Do you have any idea how I can change it back. Or does anyone else? I looked up my keyboard instruction book on-line but couldn't find anything. The funny thing is that when I post here, the regular quotation mark comes up but on Word, it's the other one. Any ideas? For every 60 seconds that you are angry, you lose a minute of happiness.

Well, since it seems I'm here and posting by myself, I'll post some pictures. It's my favourite time of year in Stirly-World, well and in my homeland of Canada as well. Spring is the renewal of life, some trees have their fruits already formed and are ripening - such as the pistachios I posted this morning and on some plants, the fruit are just starting to form. I am still amazed, even after all these years, when I see things such as grape vines and fig and almond trees that I'd never seen before. Anyway, a wee stroll around my neighbourhood yesterday evening produced some lovely (to me, anyway) pictures. I hope you enjoy them...
Small figs, just starting to take shape....
Tiny grapes, just starting to form...
Almonds, ripening on the tree...
Pomegranate tree. The flowers are a gorgeous shade of orange and left of the flower you can see a small round pomegranate that is just starting to form and below it is another one that is further along the way
Another bunch of bougainvillaea - love the colour!!
And this is a neighbour's little garden patio. I love the little orange wagon and how they've painted flowers on the planters with the pansies on the left side and also on the wheelbarrow below them....
For every 60 seconds that you are angry, you lose a minute of happiness.

Recluse;1321804 wrote: I know one way of dealing with it that would probably work, stirly. There's a file called normal.dot which is the standard template file. If you delete it or rename it a new file is automatically created and that would probably fix the problem. It would however also remove any customisations you may have made to Word and effectively restore Word to how it was when it was first installed. Would that be too drastic for you? Otherwise, leave it with me and I'll have a think and get back to you tomorrow. What version of Word are you using? When you say you hit a button, do you mean a keyboard button or a button within Word?
Thanks so much for replying, Reccie. Give me a minute to read what you've written and I'll give it a try...For every 60 seconds that you are angry, you lose a minute of happiness.
