    Army thread Wednesday 23rd May

I'z here, I'z here. Late as usual.

Was at work this morning, Molls. Met one of the clients on the way to the train and just sat for an hour just having a bit of chin wag so didn't get in 'til way after 3.

Oh Stirls my advice for your 'puter is to give the keyboard a good thumping with a hammer. That'll learn it.

Oh Pingu, I'z getting me hair done tomorrow. We can fancy each other.
It could be worse, I could be filing.

If you delete it or rename it a new file is automatically created and that would probably fix the problem. It would however also remove any customisations you may have made to Word and effectively restore Word to how it was when it was first installed. Would that be too drastic for you? Otherwise, leave it with me and I'll have a think and get back to you tomorrow. What version of Word are you using? When you say you hit a button, do you mean a keyboard button or a button within Word?

I looked for that normal.dot file and when I searched for it, it just came up with all the things I've written lately with Word. Fusk. Now Reccie, don't be foolin with me. I'm no computer expert. I just know how to use a couple of things like Word and Excel for basic stuff and to upload piccies. What do you mean "a keyboard button or a button within Word"?? What the heck is the difference? A button on the keyboard is a button on the keyboard. Word Starter 2010 from what I can see.

Sounds like a bit of an afterthought there Satzers
Molly, your hair sounds fantastic. Really. Imagine one colour when it's combed one way and another when combed the other way. I need pics now. Period.

How's everyone this evening? Had a lovely afternoon in the sun and just had dinner and Joey's finally finished school - and all is good in the world
I could hear your sigh of relief about Joey finishing school all the way over here. If he's really going to Canada, tho' you better work on your Empty Nest Syndrome starting now. Just saying and said with :h

I tried that already and it didn't work.:upset: I was thinking of giving the screen a good thump too but I really can't afford to repair it at this point.

Did ya see the pistachio pic I posted for you this morning? You know - the Aigina nuts. Permalink #38. I was going to send you some more but I don't think yer gallbladder would thank me if I did.

Sorry Stirly, what I meant was did you press a keyboard button or click on a button on the screen within Word. It sounds as though it was a keyboard button? Do you want to PM me a link to your keyboard manual and I'll have a look?

              Army thread Wednesday 23rd May

              Evening Army:l
Thank you for the beautiful photos Stirly. x I am trying to appreciate spring here too-though it is very slow in coming.
I haven't had a proper read back but...
Foxy-So sorry to hear about your friend. I've lost a couple of friends to the the fecker al and I can understand how frustrating it is. :l Stay close to the Army hon.
              And Zenners-MOTHERS. sigh. x
I've been reading as much as possible to try and keep up with everyone here, but I'm failing!:upset: I'm trying to get as many work hours in as possible at the end of the month because we've had so many long weekends (which I don't get paid for!) that I'm going to have a very difficult end of the month. Yes, I'm just about broke. We'll survive but it's a bit stressful and I'm tired.
So please forgive me for not being more active on the thread. I get here when I can and read as much as possible-and you are all in my thoughts.:l

mollyka;1321827 wrote: Ah Patty - you do sound a bit stressed out hon. --- no wonder really, and it's easy for folks to say 'its only money' - I've said it myself at times - but in truth that can be very crass when ya wake up with the worry and go to bed with the same worry. Don't worry about anything you don't HAVE to worry about - and that includes coming on here. Just dip in when you feel you want or need to - sod the reading back --- anything very important will be brought to your attention:upset:
Thank you all.:l Daughter just home from theatre class and went straight off to her room with her phone. I don't want communication to break down so I guess I'll have to drag her out in a minute.
The BF is the least of my worries at the moment. Seems I don't really have time for one at the moment-so don't really know where that's going. Haven't seen him since Saturday morning. But to be fair to him-he's pretty much in the same situation as me-kids, work, and this fecking economy where we are all hanging on by a thread.
On a happy note... I'm sober and I know things will work out eventually. And I know I'm not alone during these difficult times. As I said before, even though I can't be here as often as I would like-I do "carry" you all around in my mad little head. Yeppers, even when I'm taking the train to work in the morning. :H
