Morning Missy - yep - I've reverted although I did sleep superbly swathed in pink.

I've got the big Degustation lunch on today, so I doubt I'll be tackling any major jobbies. However, as recommended by Sunny, my copy of The Killing has arrived so that should take care of tonight.

    Have a top Saturday,

Morning Undies, waiting to hear if sport is off coz of the rain and then can plan...either way Mr Happs is picking up the fire this morning.

      Have a fantastic lunch Tawny.

And thinking of you Rags. And a few other Undies who need some hugs too.

Hey there all you pink folk. Well, I was up at the crack of dawn to hike in the McDowell Mountains. Since Sunny asked I'll provide a few pics. It is extremely HOT here. I drank four liters of water on the trails this morning.

It is going to reach 112f which I think is close to 45c....HOT!!! How hot you ask? It is so hot I can shrink Tawny's other croc just by thinking about it!

Ok here is a view from the second saddle in the McDowells...

Different trail options from the first saddle about an hours hike up...

            Morning Undies

long weekend here too Missy, am not too busy except for a 100 loads of washing!!

I just wanted to comment on something Bridge said ( I think it was Bridge..feel free to correct LOL). She mentioned that she loved this thread, cause it does not focus on how many AF days everone has had, how many slips you have had etc, rather it focuses on life and doing normal shite that helps keep us off the booze.

That statement is sooo true. There are other threads that focus on the days, I for one, am over the day counting and am getting on with a life in which I simply dont drink al. The focus of this thread is whatever the current flavor of the day is..be it bread making..pink things or melted crocks, does it matter? No, it is fun and a place to come to share little snippets of our lives. Not to say that is does not get serious sometimes, but that is life, life does get serious when we least expect it. Thanks to ya all for making this a fun and special place :l

            onward into the weekend

            xx MoJo

From the back patio. How hot was it Techie at 12:15 when you got home?

                MoJo - absolutely spot on.

And just have a look at Techie! Surviving a serious car accident and subsequent big time health issues, he's just got on with life, not letting it pass him by. He'd never have seen that view at the bottom of a glass.

That is so sweet. Thank you Tawny. It amazes me how I went through an extended period of life loathing mornings. Now, I can't wait to experience them :l

Wow Techie - that's great! I've never heard of the McDowell Mountains, but I just looked them up on Wikipedia. Man, that is a high temperature to be hiking in!

Can I ask - did you do it on your own or with others? And do many people do it and get into trouble because they aren't adequately prepared?

Yep - you are pretty inspiring Techie!

Looking forward to descriptions of your lunch TF!

We are going to a 3-hour cooking class tomorrow, at a local caterers, on making perfect weekend brunches. We eat very healthily during the week, but often on weekends we like to have a little splurge. It is at 11 which is just as well, as it will give us time to have some decent exercise first ....... as I'm totally sure that I won't want to do it afterwards

                    Thinking of you Rags :l

                      Arvo all.
Love the photos Techie. Looks beautiful and very hot.
Looks like everyone has some good plans today.
My mom popped some pumpkin bread in the oven. It is warming the house, and making it smell good. Lots of wet dark rain here. We are dropping my parents at the local club tonight to do some dancing, while we stay home. They bicker like an old married couple, suppose cause they are. They are also going to the movies and I am jealous, but I will have to watch movies at home for awhile.

Tf, enjoy the food and The Killing.
                      Hope everyone enjoys their Saturdays.
MB, tell us how dinner is.
I am thinking I might have to get some to go sushi tonight.
