Gee is soup day to-day? I better get cracking.
have to nip over to Camden and back though, so will be a few hours before I can prepare anything.
      Here I go... WHOOSH!

Oh, and Missy, you kiwis have a wicked sense of humour... I took this when I was in Queenstown a couple of years ago.

        Hi folks,

Well, it must have been the morning for it, I slept in too!!! Drank a cup of tea at 5.30. FH (favorite honey) always makes me a cuppa and brings it to me in bed before he leaves for work. The phone woke me at 8.20. I was sitting up straight as a soldier too - how could I have slept so soundly in that position??? Anyway, my stumpy little legs did overtime to get me to the command desk! I was v.late though.

Haps - my only experience of buying anything other than food at Aldi was a bit disastrous. Dodgy clothes dryer I had to fight old ladies for! Pans should be ok. My daughter just bought lots of ski gear to go to the snow with. Here's hoping the garments are what they said they were in the cattle dog, otherwise they will all be pretty cold!

Techie - where to you find those post appropriate pics. You're very clever indeed!

Tomorrow is my eldest daughter's birthday so I'm taking a day off and her sister and I will take her to lunch. I think I'll wear my fake fur coat and some bling to set the mood! It seemed to work a treat last time I wore it - NOT!!! Story for another time......

I don't do well in the winter so will do a Bridgey and pop some vits to help. Never thought to do that! See??? I need ALL the help I can get.

BTW - I'm making mulligatawny soup tomorrow. I'll use beef this time instead of chicken. Don't count me in the comp though - I'll get performance anxiety and it will be roooooooned!!

Keep warm lovely peeps - it's soooo chilly here at postcode 2151. In fact, I do believe it is warmer outside than it is in my office.... Time for a pot of tea me thinks.

Hugs to absolutely everyone who passes by!

        Nicey

BTW - I absolutely love the road signs in NZ. They are sensible and thought provoking.

In fact, I really do like NZ very much. christchurch is my FH's home town. The only season I haven't experienced is spring - on my bucket list though. I'd love to see the flowers blooming in Hagley Park. We always go for a morning exercise walk around Hagley when we are there. I just throb it!

It snowed when we were in Hamner Springs - just beautiful!

          Spesh memories...........

Ha!!!! Haps - great idea for the bucket! I do NOT EVER eat KFC BUT my (FH - whom I have talked a LOT about today????) eats it a LOT. A girlfriend of mine is in heaven when she has her KFC. Each to their own!

For someone who was late to work, busy as a one legged duck in a pond, I'm quite 'vocal' on the threads today.

I know why too....... Too many grown up jobs pushing deadlines and I'm procrastinating! I hate stats and hard stuff!

I'm just downing my 7 millionth cup of tea - now you can guess what I need to do BUT it is SO cold I'm also putting that off!

              :H :h

Oh stop yer whingeing, you northerners ... I'm sitting here trussed up like Mama Michelin. Starting from the bottom: Blunnies, Explorers, Leggins, Tracky dacks, Thermal LS vest, Woolly Jumper, Hoodie and my beautiful NZ Possum fingerless gloves.

Happs - I reckon those cast iron things are as good as the exy LeCreusets. I have both and can't see any difference. With the casseroles though, if you've got a wall oven it helps if you're a giraffe. They get mighty heavy when full. Don't know anything about the knives.

                Nicey - I.don't.do.hard.stuff.

(sings) Is everyboddeee happy? You bet your life we are ....

Jeez, sometimes I think I have posted here because I have been reading along, and realize I don't think I have even said hello.
                          HELLO out there.
Made my soup last night. Seeing as I never cook it turned out darn good. I even took a piccie for proof. Will post when others do.
Cold and chilly as well here today. Even turned on the space heater. Having leftover soup for dinner with rustic bread.
My suggestion for the next challenge is homemade pizzas. Just a thought.

Hi Sunny, looking forward to seeing your soup pics, funny you to say that about the homemade pizza I was thinking the same thing, hugs to Leon, love the photo of him....

Good constructive day, but blunnies off now...

Re knives...I have never had one that I throb, and I've concluded that you do indeed get what you pay for. Oddly I was looking at them today. Decided to spend what I need to this time. At any rate it won't cost any more than the microsurgery to suture my finger back on which will inevitably happen one of these days.

Re the cast iron pan...if you're all getting one then I'm allowed too....I hope they don't sell out...what colour are we going to have
