Yep, thanks Undies I think this is a 'friendship' that I can do without....also a former drinking mate who did not respond well when I gave it up and has spend quite some time shoving it under my nose.

Cooking class this morning was fab - the first time I have ever made hollandaise sauce from scratch. Our's wasn't that great but that was Mr B's fault :H:H We don't work well together in the kitchen ...... we both like to be in control!! So next time I make hollandaise sauce I shall make it on my own
Bridge - re your moral quandry ....... a few decades ago, I came back from living in Paris and a dream job, to marry the bloke I was in a relationship with, but who had come back to NZ because his employers wouldn't hold his job open for him any longer. I later found out that he started seeing someone else, and that lots of people knew. I found out through a friend, who had the balls to take me out for a coffee and tell me face-to-face. I remain forever grateful to her, and I continue to find it hard to deal with a couple of people who I know spread the gossip without fronting up to me personally. It was the biggest and most painful experience of my life at that point and the one that sent me spiraling down into alcohol addiction.
And re your comments about your own feelings about your friend who is doing the cheating - and this might sound really pompous - but actually I really don't like being around people who behave in ways that are inconsistent with my values. Live and let live is fine. I can work with them and be neighbors with them and do business with them. But don't ask me to be friends with them or to cover up up for them or listen to their opinions or prejudices.Never give up, for that is just the place and time that the tide will turn

Learned how to do perfectly poached eggs ..... the ones that have the yolk in the middle with the whites perfectly formed around them Two techniques learned :-) (neither of which involve silicone cups - although I have been tempted!!)
