Now Techie ... I have a dumb question. When you hike up those huge bloody mountains, how do you get down again? I'm serious.

Always with the bee's dick...

Very slowly and cautiously. I use hiking poles. They help stabilize and prevent one from gaining too much momentum while descending. In some cases you need to butt crawl down more steep slippery stuff. It can be quite tricky at times !

That's what I thought. I think it would be more difficult coming down than going up? Fighting against the momentum? Unless you zig-zag down like goats do ...

Hi Troops,

I'm in my ditch already!!!

Often I say, when things are a tad weird - it must be the phase of the moon... Well, I got up to visit the loo at around 2.30am and the moon beam through the ensuite skylight was AMAZING!!! It really was as bright as day.

And, I've been up since sparrow's and feeling energized and ready for the wild weather predicted for today. Don't think I'll be climbing any major mountains but feel as though today is going to be a pearler.....

Yeah, I have been on some steeper trails and found hikers too frightened to attempt the descent. I have helped several down some tricky situations. It is one of the leading reasons for rescue here in AZ just short of #1 heat exhaustion.

Now I hope to see a pic or two of your radish sandwich. I'll try and take some pics Wednesday on a few steep trails. I'm going on a morning (5:30AM) hike with some hiking brethren.
