Thanks Bridge too, I do feel helpless, not sure how my sister is coping with the news, she's not talking about it, not even to her daughter, it was the doctors that told my neice, I will call my neice again soon,you see, they all live in the UK.

Some of my posts the last couple of weeks aren't all joy and transit of Venus... I have a very good friend with cancer and my FIL is also gravely ill. So not all beer and skittles on the undies thread all the time.

And just to keep you informed, my dear, dear friend has only a couple of weeks left on this beautiful earth. She now cannot eat so it will not be long for her. Useless husband has come down from Qld. and managed to bust her mobile phone yesterday. I told him to get off his bum and go to the Optus shop and either get it fixed or get a new one, as she really needs a phone with her at the moment.
The hospital staff are absolutely wonderful...and treating her with such dignity.
I did her toenails yesterday, and gave her a foot and hand masage. She loved the bright red fuschia nail polish I chose

And Mr Rags dad is grimly clinging to his last breaths. '
And on that note I shall go and watch the ABC news.


(Gawd, what an embarrassment was the Alice Springs Venus transmission on the NASA site! Norway was pretty good, as was Hawaii).

Didn't get a chance to post yesterday but I was reading along. I had joined the ranks of the zombie apocalypse. Beauty of a chilly day here. Had a nice veggie picnic along the beach with the family. Bub has peed on me 3 times today to make up for lost time. I don't mind the slightest.

Re: Radish, I love eating all the daikon (Japanese radish) I can get when eating at Japanese restaurants.
