Sorry to hear that Happs ... but you don't have any idea how old your girls were when you got them. Maybe it was just her time to go. She certainly had a lovely quality of life in her final months.Comment

And, we spent 30 minutes with her bum in warm water coz we thought she was eggbound....all puffed up you see and trying to nest up...if it wasnt sad it would be funny...at least she was clean...Comment

I don't know where our WA people live but I hope they're all safe. Just heard that they've been having some very ugly weather in parts.
Happs - I think you've gained very good karma by doing what you've done but maybe don't go that route again and now buy some point-of-lay pullets? I'm going to do that at the end of the month.
I'm just waiting for a bread to finish baking to take around to a lovely old lady who lives in the hills nearby. Just found out last night that she's been diagnosed with bowel cancer. I'll see if there's anything I can do for her.
Apart from that, I'm pissed off I wasn't mentioned in the Queen's Birthday Honours List. How can that possibly be?Comment

had a busy weekend here, have had grandchildren with us all weekend, have had fun,
