Morning All.
I've gone like an absolute rocket this morning. More assignments this week and then a break for about three weeks before getting into the next course.

Absolute stunner of a day here, hopefully dry this place out a bit.

Morning all! Scary outside the drawer.
I don't really care what people think of this thread. The fact that we all get to come here and be there for one another, that we have a mutual respect for each other, and care for each person on this site whether in the drawer or not, is priceless to me. It is a family I have come to know and love. I didn't feel like I fit in right away, but I felt welcomed and now I can't imagine not being where I am today with a new family without the help of each one of you here. Just by the daily check ins, by being there when I needed it, and being here when I don't need a thing. I just want you all to know you mean the world to me. Including those in the cheap seats!

I'm like you Ronnie - I hardly ever bake but wanted to take some with us on our last trip to see Mr B's boy. The biscuits worked, but the brownie was a complete failure and seriously brick-like . However, its reincarnation as a trifle was pretty edible!!

Hi to everyone!!

Missy - I'll cross everything I have for hubby's interview. One thing I've learnt over the years is that life throws enough curve balls our way without us beating ourselves black and blue over our short comings. There was a time in my life I used to have to go to Vinnies for food vouchers and the electricity would be cut off the day before pay day, and the kids would need excursion money I just didn't have.... It was a horrible time and it made me feel like shit about myself. I was working two jobs, admittedly I was drinking but it wasn't so bad then. I used to say a prayer to whomever at night to say I'm happy to stand on my own two feet if you'll please just let me get up of the f***g ground! Be kind to yourself Missy! You're a great girl and well loved here, and that say a LOT. People here know good people when they 'see' them and the fact that you are embraced and cared for says much. One day at time when things are tough and 1.5 when days are brighter!!! Hugs girlie!!!

Hugs to Reggie, Ronnie, Bridge (legend), Lilly, beautiful Sunny and her Prince, Haps and anyone else who needs 'em.

I've walked for 1.5 hours this morning, had a gorgeous cup of coffee and about to go and see who is playing in the sandpit this little lunch.

Actually, here's a salute for Mr G too. He seems to be popping into my head a lot these past few days. If you see him tell him I said hi!!!!

Oh something I discovered recently. Pomus stone (the big square black ones) is great for grooming dogs....LOTS of hair comes out with no effort at all AND no dramas from my little girl.

Feeling throbbage for lots of people here today.

Has anyone seen Fat Sick and Nearly Dead? I told my mom we should do a juice fast for 10 days soon. She thinks I am crazy. She suggested 2 days. Think I will give it a go next month as I need extra calories right now. Watching people at least try achieve goals inspires me to at least try for some of my own. Speaking of which, hope Techie is doing well too.

I did see it yes, the CD on the Woman's Weekly? I've been tossing around getting a juicer ever since. Ireckon the occasional juice fast would be great for us Sun.

I'm fine sweetheart. I just humpty dumptied on the trail the other night. I should have read the concern Bridge indicated in her post. It wasn't the fading light or the 108f heat. It was looking out at the vista while hiking. You need to stop and take in the scenery or you fall. Lesson learned. I'm just a bit sore, but scabbing nicely :H I do have pictures and I will post soon.
