Nice pie Lilly, love the little blackbird too.
Forgot to name my filling: chicken, potato, corn, shallots, thyme, rosemary, mustard and bacon. It was delish. And I made enough pastry to do an apricot custard tart too. But like Lilly I think I will use bought pastry next time, feel like YAY! I did it but jeez talk about work it baby. Bread making is MUCH more satisfying...

Why do they pit the poor MCians against professional chefs and their groupies?
It's so pointless, except as a blood sport.
Grumpage Re: viz e viz too many assessments has reached warp speed. I shall clearly be up half the night doing this bollocks, so I'm going to be very brave and tune out for the night even though I roolly like the look of Lilly's pie and Tawny's new ....erm....vented mandril....

Me too. But you know what? ... I couldn't do anything that those MC contestants have done. Not without time to think or recipes to look up ....
Nighters. Ronnie - there's some snacks on the counter. Could you please make sure Bridge has turned her light off?

I check in just in time to tuck you all in.
Rags, good to see you back in the drawer. You are a trooper!
Nicey, cars always seem to empty the bank account right on time.

Love to all of yous!

Hello Undies!! I haven't dropped by for a while even tho' I do check out your posts now and then. Glad to see that you are all well.
Rags - my condolences to Mr. Rags and yourself on the passing of Mr. Rags father. How touching that he was able to be with his father when he died. May he find eternal peace.
Sunny - your little man is getting cuter and cuter every day. Love your latest avatar. My those eyes look right into your heart. I love the serenity in your posts even tho' I know it's not easy getting by on so little sleep. :goodjob: for coping so well.
To Bridge or anyone else who might know a lot about plants and flowers, there is a plant in a field near here that I have only seen this one - never seen one anywhere else. It's a low to the ground plant that sends out shoots with these amazing flowers on it. I was just wondering if you might have an idea what kind of plant it is.
And I came across a hedge the other day with these flowers on it. I'd seen them before but took pics again because they are so frigging odd that they look like they're fake...
Anyway, if anyone has any idea what either of them are, I'd appreciate the input.
Hope you all have a productive, peaceful Wednesday...
Oh, and I think Tawny's pic is a French bread pan.For every 60 seconds that you are angry, you lose a minute of happiness.
