Thanks Lily. I try and update his picture every few days as he changes so fast.

Re: Knives, I said it before and I'll say it again. Best knife I have ever owned (I now have 5 thanks to my mom,) is Wusthof.

I have always wanted to make a potato rosemary pizza. Though I am not saying that will be my competition entry!

Techie, forgot to say I am thinking of you. I know it will all go well for you!

I was a confirmed Wusthof girl until my brother gave me a couple of F Dick knives to try. (Let's not snigger here, ok?) I really do throb them but I think you have to be meticulous about sharpening them and storing them correctly.

With the pizza challenge I assume we have to make our own dough?

Can't wait to see what I think is an award-winning pic of little Leon (I had a sneak preview)

I am definitely getting all the pans. Catalogue on sale tomorrow. I shall queue or camp out. Red ones.

And its whatever dough or base you like I think...I've been making some rather scrummy ones on lebo bread which I'd never normally do but jeez they're tasting good. Have done the potato ones Sunny and they are only as good as your olive oil

Wow Sunny thats a great site for the knives. Even the Global knife is about $80 cheaper than the one I saw.

YEESSSS!! Found a great recipe for potato dough tonight and reckoned it would make a great pizza dough.

Re knives...I have never had one that I throb, and I've concluded that you do indeed get what you pay for. Oddly I was looking at them today. Decided to spend what I need to this time. At any rate it won't cost any more than the microsurgery to suture my finger back on which will inevitably happen one of these days.

I got given an incredibly good vegetable knife for my 21st birthday - one of the best presents I have ever received. I still have it - although the handle got a bit mangled a few years ago when it fell out of the cutlery drawer in the dishwasher and onto the element! But the blade is still brilliant and definitely my favorite knife.

I also have a set of Sabatier knives that I bought when I was living in Paris that I use for "best" :H:H

Mr B has a very odd knife that he inherited from his mother, who brought it from Holland in the 1950s. We had puzzled over it, and it had been known in his family as the "tomato knife". About a year ago we took it to a specialist knife shop, and the guy there was really amazed - he said that they were indeed known as tomato knives, and were only made in Germany during the 1940s. The modern tomato knife is based on the same principle (long and serrated) but this was apparently one of the originals. He had never seen one, and said it was quite rare.

Definitely red. I bought a new saucepan after Rags cooked me scrambled eggs and there was no residue to be scraped off the pan before it was washed. I throb it, but I wish I could have got it in red

Techie .... beaming good vibes your way :l

Are we having the french pan or the dutch oven?
I'm thinking a red french pan. Oui?
I'm not going for the knives. I want a good one. Just can't decide which brand.

In this instance, I'd back anything teutonic. Had some Sabatiers (still have) but they're not used all that often. And I DOOOOOOO know about that 'tomato knife'. Spooky.

Oh, I'm so elated with feelings of good vibratige and bonhomie and all-round Undie throbbage. Fusk the weather. Rouge it is.
