    Weight Loss Support Thread!!!

    Post your goals here. Track your eating, calories and exercise. This is a thread for those of us who need/want to lose excess pounds. We will have a weigh-in day where you can post your progress too. I am voting that Friday be our weigh-in day. It's the start of the weekend so you haven't overindulged, hopefully, and have all the next week after the weekend to lose that pound or half pound or more till next weigh in!

    No one needs to say their weight, or even their goals if they choose not to. All I'm starting this thread for is for some support and accountability, IF you want that. Add suggestions and comments as you see fit! Onward troops!

      Hi, nice timeing.
      I realized i cracked 100kg this week, so i have started my version of the atkins diet.
      carbs are the enemy!

          Weight Loss Support Thread!!!

          Yay! Glad to see all of you. I had my first weight-loss goal in my signature but decided to delete it, as I thought it looked kind of silly to see it in other threads, lol. I will post on this thread only and within it about that.

          Tomorrow I will weigh in, as I've been restricting calories for about a week now (wed. was a week). Hope to see you all here tomorrow too.

                  LG-- one thing in weighing in that always works for me is weighing in on Mondays. That way you don't hog out on the weekend. I used to weigh on Fridays and if I had a good Friday weigh I pigged out all weekend. I just turned 45 and it has only be recently that I have lost anything. The AL really does do a number on the metabolism I think. For me it had to be all gone and for a while to start to repair the damage. I gained a load of weight while pregnant and really just did not lose it -- started drinking after my son was born due to extreme post partum and body image stuff and it was a catch 22 -- that kept me fat-- I had past health issues that contributed later but it just piled on. I gained 80 in the pregnancy , lost 40 after, need to lose probably 25 according to doc's and I want to lose 40. I take topamax for severe migraines and have started exercising with a trainer. I agree it is very baffling! I am traveling to Ireland in September and want to lose a significant amount more so I will continue on with you all. Thanks for starting this thread!

                    Monday is fine with me ALT. I can understand your way of thinking too. For me, if I get a good weigh in, I'm less likely to overeat as it is a good motivator (for me). If I don't lose, I feel like what the hell, lol. But Monday's are great. It's settled.

                      Whatever works for you-- we can all weigh at different times as long as we support each other! How old are you LG if you don't mind me asking? I recall a lot of your story and remember you are in SC right? I lived in Greenville for one very long year--not for me-lol! Enjoyed a Rush concert there though last summer!

                        I'm old. 48 yo. Pray tell, what didn't you like about SC? Haha! Not the weather! :H Summers are brutal, lol. Winters are great.

                        Yeah, we can weigh in on whatever day we like. I like having a specific day though. Monday's work for me. Let's keep it there.

                              Weight Loss Support Thread!!!

                              I would like, ideally, to lose 60 lbs, but I've got to start somewhere. So, my first goal is 5 lbs. This morning I weighed and am 3 lbs down since last Wed.

                              For brekki: whole wheat bagel, almond butter, 1/2 banana and 1 cup coconut milk. A hearty 440 cals. I needed it too. I'm not used to being hungry first thing in the a.m. lol.
