    Weight Loss Support Thread!!!

    Welcome all! I haven't been posting since last week. Afraid I didn't lose at all last week. It is really, really slow to come off. Ugh. As for eating what you want--do it. I did for 3 months even though I was very overweight when I quit AL. I am only now trying to lose. I think if I had tried to diet in the beginning I would have felt so deprived, I would have gone back to the bottle. The most important thing right now is being AF.

    Hope I can record another lb lost by Friday!

      Hello! I'm new...losing weight was one of my biggest motivations for cutting back on my drinking, but I have had a total of 2 beers since Monday and my weight has shot up! blah

        Forgot yesterday was Friday.
        Beginning of the week I was 170lbs.
        Today I am 165.2lbs.

          Wow, I am jealous! I skipped dinner last night and finally lost another lb, lol. Now a total of 7.4 lbs in a month. Not so bad, but it seems like mollasses it's so slow.

            I ate a dinner heavy on the salt - so I will be sorry tomorrow morning when I step on that scale!

              I blew it tonight. I don't know if it was a result of having drank last night or not. I do remember eating very poorly when I was drinking a lot. Anyway, had a craving for coconut cake and asked bf to buy me a half cake, lol. I ate two big slices! Think I'll stay off the scales for a few days.

                LG...wow...that coconut cake sounds delish! Ha! I forgot to weigh myself yesterday so I will do it when I get my lazy butt out of bed!

                  Weight Loss Support Thread!!!

                  Well I had a total of 8 lbs lost, and weighed this morning after 3 days of ignoring the scale, and I've gained back three. :'( I don't know how I'll ever lose this weight!!!! I'm so depressed about it now, lol. I worked so hard to get those measley lbs off, and took a "break" for a few days and nearly half is back. I can't imagine getting 50+ lbs off without some major, major help. And no, it is NOT AL that is doing it. I have had less calories from AL since I've been modding than I've had in one day of eating a normal day's calorie intake. I guess it's the cake, the pepsi's and the one-off's I thought, well just this time...crap.

                    Weight Loss Support Thread!!!

                    LG - I was reading somewhere that when you cut out foods or start a new exercise program (or something / whatever like that) it puts the body in "shock" - that it takes a few weeks yet before the pounds start coming off. Do not get discouraged. It takes time!

                    I recommend reading the "Eat Clean" books by Tosca Reno - they have helped me.
                    But whatever keeps you from drinking in the first little while...if you want to eat ten Snickers - then do it. Worry about the weight later. For some people that is the only way that it works and for others they need to jump in - with both feet off the bat - clean eating, exercise, no drinking - to stay motivated to keep away from the booze...

                    Hope that made sense! Lol.

                    Forgot to "log in" on Friday - am at 163lbs now.
                    So it takes a while to lose weight the healthy way and I have been going to the gym everyday too! But I can't get discouraged...
