I have Jason Vales book and have read at it...now I am going to discipline myself and read it daily...I know there is strength in it. I know there is strength in me...I have had to be very stong, at certain points in my life....now more than ever, I need to find my strength. Day 1 is a beginning.

Hi Paula! I have the Jason Vale book but haven't read it yet. Guess I'll pull that out & get started on it."Only I can change my life. No one can do it for me.".....Carol Burnett

I only have three weeks sober and look at me talking all tough:new:
Great to see you FA.
Keep up the fantastic work Tip. You just keep getting back up and on with it don't you. This is the sort of winning attitude that takes us to freedom from the chains, and a life of wonder and treasure. :goodjob:
Best wishes to everyone, and keep kicking ass in your own way. :h

I feel strong but I've been there, done that and could write the book; in fact, if (no, I mean WHEN) I beat the beast I think I will.
Jason Vale will change your thinking completely. Really.
If I start sliding I want to get my plentiful butt kicked bad. Looks like I've got the whole army of butt kickers here on this thread. It's reassuring, yet a little terrifying at the same time. LOL.
Day three witching hour over, ate spaghetti which normally screams for a bottle of red. The damn recipe I was using actually called for it. We have none in the house and hubby was going for a spice I was missing; I twice stopped myself from asking him to pick up a bottle for the recipe... safe decision I believe although I was not tempted. I know myself though and the no willpower thing was fresh in my mind.
Happy Evening folks.Tipplerette

Well... I didn't make it thru the day...I had some red to feel better from abusing the white last night. But I didn't over do it... So I know tomorrow will be a much better day to refrain from any AL. Sorry to disappoint anyone and mostly sorry to myself but I drank so much yesterday that I was a bit panicky today. I am sober... hydrated and ready for a good night sleep tonight and a much better tomorrow.

I have lots of non-alcoholic drinks stashed in the bar fridge up there and this nice blue wine glass where nosy people can't see what's in it... LOL... everyone loves to encourage me to join them.
I have internet up there so I'll "see" you on here and hang on to you for dear life if I get tempted. I expect you to do the same. If we can beat booze this weekend, it's a huge start and we may even get some accolades from our peers on here... love that idea...LOL.
We leave for the lake tonight. Wish me luck. No, not luck, wish me strength; luck has nothing to do with it. Duh.Tipplerette
