    Hi Bri,

    I was just thinking, and probably because I am watching my twin daughters running thru the house:

    If your Daughter called you and said she had been living with her boyfriend in the basement of his mother's house for 5 years and she couldn't stop drinking, what would you tell her?

      Morning, all:
      I'm up and moving on day 7. Off to work soon, with the weekly farmers' market on the way home.
      The weather is heating up again, so we may watch an at home movie this evening. Hubby has Kings Speech on the DVR. I heard about it from a friend, and now's my chance to see it.

      My life is better without alcohol, since 9/1/12. My sobriety tool is the list at permalink 236 on the toolbox thread under monthly abstinance.

          i am on day three and it has not been easy so far, hardly any sleep, a bit shakey and constant thoughts of a cold glass of wine.

                :H Mama...you're not a lunatic, just "zany" as you put it a few days ago!

                Welcome Lexi! I'm glad to see you in this thread. We talk about anything and everything, so let 'er rip if you need to get something off your chest! It's like having 20 mothers/sisters/aunts/grandmas all in one place! It's wonderful!

                Kradle - So your twin girls have twin friends? OMG...twinville. If I was drinking, that would confuse the hell out of me. LOL (Still kind of does...ha)

                Bri - Congrats on getting to day 4...you're doing great! I understand your mixed feelings towards your BF, on one hand you love him very much, on the other, you wish he would treat you differently. Boy have I been down that road! It's good that you are focusing on your sobriety first and foremost...the rest will fall into place. Keep us posted...we have lots of opinions that we're more than happy to share with you! LOL

                  Welcome Lexi. Great place to be here. Lots of support.
                  I'm 53 years old. One son, 25 years old. Married. Been drinking heavily for approx. 13 years. Still not completely AF but having longer periods of no alcohol.

                  Has anyone heard from Cinders? Worried about her.

                  How about RC? Is she ok?

                      Yes, MamaBear is the hottie that are all trying (with little success) to keep under control. She thinks because she's dating Johnny Depp that she's ALL that (and a bag of Funyuns). Please help us keep her in check, it's no easy task.

                                You both are crazy. But, I AM the real younger one....not Mama.

                                Ok, seriously now though. What do you do when you still had some good times with drinking? Wait, even as I typed that, I realized that they weren't that good of times. I'm thinking back to years ago, when it was still fun...not an addiction. When it this going to be easier. :upset:
