btw Sun--that was a nice radish. Never seen one like it.Psalms 119:45

There are sooo many Nora. I'm determined to start again. I used to love beet, carrot, cucumber, lemon and a touch of ginger. Very refreshing. Start with the watermelon, it's so easy and nutritious. Helps with carb cravings and high in potassium among many other benefits. If that gets you into it we can move on to more detailed juices. K?Psalms 119:45

CONGRATULATIONS MOLLY
Nora - I am going to make a lasagne thingie today that is all veggies - layered spuds, zucchini, onions, tomatoes, cheese, umm, think that is it - anyway it is all layers like a lasagne without any pasta 'cos I don't like pasta! Maybe I will put in a layer of radishes!
off out to run errands! Back later,
love, Sun XxHow simple it is to see that we can only be happy now and there will never be a time when it is not now....

Just seedless watermelon Nora. You can buy those little football melons. I used 1/4. I did put a pinch of ginger which is great for circulation and inflammation. If it's too sweet I saw a recipe with some fresh lemon which should cut some sweetness. I will try that sometime too. Let me know how it goes.Psalms 119:45

I love pasta Sunshine but don't eat it much as it's just simple carbs. Your recipe sounds yummy except the radishes. Never was a big fan of them.Psalms 119:45

Hello friends!!
It is wonderful to see so many on this thread. I feel like I am in with some very good companionship here. :-)
Congratulations, Molly. Hubby and I agree we should've had the grandkids first. They are so much fun.
Sunshine, your casserole sounds yummy. It appears we have a bit of a chef here on MWO. I have always been a bit envious of folks like you who can take what is on hand and make a wonderful meal. My daughter and mom have the same gift. Apparently it skipped a generation....
I went to my GP today for a follow-up. She gave me some Tramadol to help deal with the pain, which is a blessing. Luckily, it seems I can take the Tramadol without experiencing the increased desire to drink, such as I get when I take Percoset or Vicodin. She said the pain should ease up in four or so more weeks. Not too bad.
On Thursday, it will be three weeks since I had to call 911 after my last drink. So far, probably due to the pain, I have had no desire to drink. But, I know my alcoholic mind and am prepared for the mental gymnastics I will need to deal with once I start feeling better physically. I plan on being honest and posting about it, if and when it happens, so I can use your support to help me get past those moments.
I am grateful for MWO and my friends here.
I hope all here realize they can lean on me when they are going through those moments, themselves. One piece of AA that I do agree with is that helping others also helps us. We can do this one step at a time.
Love,

Oh Cinders - I had no idea what had happened to you, so I went to your posts to find out so I could post accordingly - how awful for you..... my heart goes out to you for what you went through :l I am so pleased that you are coming along well. The pain you are having must be like a toothache - nothing really touches it - I am so sorry..... I am happy you are on this thread and as you said - can help others - it is always a lovely feeling to do that......
As for being a bit of a chef, I had to laugh at that one - my children say I always put the same things in and everything tastes the same - LOL My mum will ask me for the recipe for something and I will tell her "well, I just put some of this and some of that and do this and do that and throw it in the oven....." Things usually turn out really well!! Being veggie, it used to be a challenge but these days with so many veggie alternatives it is wonderful...... I have been veggie for 40 odd years so it was hard when I was younger.
Please feel free to PM me any time if you need/want to - I am always here and like to think I have broad shoulders for folk - LOL Once in Sears I tried on a sweater and asked the sales lady what she thought - she suggested taking out the shoulder pads - THERE WERE NO SHOULDER PADS!!!!! I was suitably upset!!!
Anyway - back outside to the weeds - with the rain that we had they are coming out fairly easily except for the ivy that Hubs thought would be a good idea 20 years ago and has spread like wildfire..... I am getting lovely muscles to add to those broad shoulders....
Hugs, sun XXXHow simple it is to see that we can only be happy now and there will never be a time when it is not now....
