One Step at a Time - June 2012

Good morning North Carolina aka Dr. Des. Sunny and breezy here. Do your dogs lay in the sun like mine in the avatar? Mine has bouts with some fungus on her nose. Yesterday I noticed (from a distance) her tummy was dark and thought oh no she's got that fungus on her belly. On closer inspection she has tanned very darkly on her belly! I had to laugh as I'd never seen anything like it before. I'm going to have to put coconut and lavender on it for protection! LOL

I'm not perfect, never will be, but better than I was and not as good as I'm going to be.

OH frig lost my post....Good morning North Carolina aka Dr. Des. Sunny and breezy here. Perfect.
Say, Dr. Des do your dogs sunbathe like mine in my avatar? My dog battles a fungus on her nose and yesterday(from a distance)I notice her tummy was very dark. I thought, oh no, she has this fungus on her belly now. Upon closer inspection she has tanned it very darkly. I laughed as I've never seen this before. Now I'll have to put coconut and lavender oil on her belly for protection! LOL

          IAD,

Great to see you!! Hope you have a Happy Father's day and enjoy being lazy for a bit. :-)

To all dads, Happy Father's day, too.

I am doing well this weekend and enjoying family time and close time with hubby, all SOBER!!

          Yeah.

Right now, it just plain feels good to be sober.

I wish all could be in this space with me. :l:l

However, I know someday I will wake up and have those horrible cravings. When I do, I hope I will have your support to get past them.

For those who need it now, just let us know what we can do to help.

          Love,
          Cindi

Hi Nora, if your neice's pain moves over to the right side it might be appendix (apologies for the spelling) xxx

Happy Father's Day to all the Daddies here.

Took my niece to the dr today. Thinks the stomach ache is constipation. I already had been pushing the water, fruit, veggies so hope this will pass soon.

Cindi - you do sound good. I wish that I had that wonderful mind set. Oh well, I just keep on keeping on. Like this thread - it's one step at a time for me.

Molly - how wonderful to have your new grandson to visit.

I had a bad alcohol dream last night. Don't remember it clearly but drunk and sneaking to get more. :upset: Hate those dreams. Truthfully, I'm doing ok now. But, I wish that little voice in the very back of my head would SHUT UP. :H

Hello to everyone else. We're off to Lowe's hardware store. The things that I'll do on Father's Day. :H

Hi Molly - yep, that's the kind of dream it was. Yuck.

I hope that everyone is off having a wonderful day/night. We went to Lowe's and got some stuff so that we could get our above ground pool put up this week. The kids are so ready for it. The neighbors already got theirs put up and have the kids over a couple of times. So, we'll get ours up so that they can go over here too. I'm already hearing the "I'm bored!"! :H That is so funny because we have so much to do here. Legos, coloring, games, croquet, horseshoes, pool table, video games. Typical kids right? :H

Thanks for being here everyone. It helps to be able to come here & discuss my alcohol dreams/thoughts. :h

The pool table is from my childhood. :H My parents got it as a surprise for my brother & me. Still has the felt on it & we're able to play. Probably close to 45 years old. WOW!

Mama - Hope you trip goes well and no cravings. :l:l

Yes - my family are borderline hoarders. :H:H When my parents moved they had been in their home for about 40 years. Guess who ended up bringing so much of it home? :dunno:
Some of it is great though. So many great memories. I even got our aluminum Christmas tree.

Didn't know you were born in the states. When did you move back?

Way past my bedtime. Have to get up at 5:00 am. Oh well - at least it won't be with a hangover.

Good Morning everyone. Yes - the spelling and pronunciation of words here is so different - we used to keep an English/American dictionary at work - LOL

Firefox - it is so good to get outside in the garden after the rain- those weeds which have been hanging on, come out so much easier !! Enjoy your day .....

Nora - good morning to you too - gosh, you will be tired this morning - why did you have to be up so early? Hope you have a good day today.

Hi there Jan - when do you leave for your trip? And yes - did you take your Antabuse? Glad that you had a good day yesterday.

Zan - laughed at you getting the photos and nora getting the pool table.....

Everyone else - hi to you and have a great day - I need to get in the shower - morning meeting now and have some lights come on my car dashboard so need to run by the car place to see if it is urgent or if it can wait...... then have the closing shift tonight.

                                Back later,
