Yep - it's hard sometimes! My Doctor gave my Lorazepam when I first stopped. But, of course, that is addictive too! So, I rarely use that.

Have you tried melatonin? I know with me that sometimes it just takes being a Zombie for a couple of days before I finally start sleeping. :H

Oh wow! I didn't know that. I've never taken it so I don't even know if it works though.

What old wives tale can I come up with? :H Warm milk? (Actually, milk does help me sleep)

That's a good idea. If you can just get a good nights sleep, you should get back on track. :l

Scottishman, I've had major sleep issues throughout my adult years. Turns out it was totally attributable to alcohol. When I quit, my sleep corrected itself. Your body is going through changes that will adjust naturally. If you can keep from taking anything and let yourself make that adjustment naturally you will be better off in the long run. It may take a little while.........but..........just my $0.02.

I have sleeping pills that I take when I need to, but they keep me awake too....
I asked my pharmacist about them and he said they did the same thing to him. Weird

how about valerian or 5HTP? Valerian in tincture and 5HTP (make sure from griffonia seed).

Hey Mollers! Nice to see you! I have found that many cannot take the B Vits on the market as they are poor quality and people often experience stomach upset as well. I would suggest looking for the best quality--more money of course but usually makes a world of dif.

Also valerian can give a hangover effect too but better than an al hangover or no sleep I reckon?
