its hard to admit you've become a total pisshead when youre a proud type of person, I have to face the facts, I'd been drowning in a sea of booze and living only took place until I could bunk off to get wasted again .


If that helps anyone, I'm glad, a week sober now just about, and I really hope I have the brains not to stand in my own way

Kidding Ourselves

That's really good, you can do it. I wish you well. I find that I tend to become complacent after a few days, so I really intend to concentrate on staying sober this weekend and for the forseeable future, it's just not worth the anxiety it causes me.

My family tried to get me to confront my alcoholism years ago and I played the same game. In my mind, alcoholics were people drunk 24/7 who can't function in life, therefore by my definition I wasn't an alcoholic.
