    Army Thread Wednesday 27th June

Hiya oney, stirly, molly and P3

The one thing I have always understood about weight loss is that a permanent loss of weight requires a permanent change in diet and/or a permanent increase in exercise.

I reckon you're right about the permanent changes that need to be made. I think regularly weighing yourself is a good idea too. So you know if you've put on a couple of pounds and stop yourself right there.

Heading down to see the wee man in a while - really looking forward to seeing him. Had a lovely evening yesterday with Jilly's boyfriend and the lads - they're getting on so well in Canada - that makes me happy - but I don't reckon they'll ever come home - slightly less happy - but it's great for them. Now to persuade Joey that a year over there would be a good thing
Ah, Molly - enjoy your time with the wee one. :huggy

I'm glad that Jilly and her boyfriend are happy in Canada. I wouldn't want my kids to live in another country but if it was what they wanted and they were happy there, then I'd have to live with that.

I'm outta here. Hope you all...

For every 60 seconds that you are angry, you lose a minute of happiness.

It's my dinner molly....been up all night. Hope you have a lovely time with your grandson. That's a great idea....sending Joey to Canada....it would be a fantastic experience for him. Would you be able to go over there yourself from time to time to visit Jilly? As you say, it's good that they're happy, but not so good that you won't see so much of them.

Yeah - we all feel that a year away from the 'mates' round here may be very good for Joey - now he needs to decide that HE thinks it's a good idea
Re. visiting Jilly - mmmm - well I originally planned on going over there in September for a trip - but after my 'black hole' period - I decided it would be better her come here - so I sent my ticket money to her and she's coming home in August. Holidays would have been a big trigger for me re. drinking - the two just went together and up till now definitely would not have been confident enough to attempt it. Now I feel differently tho - I just feel stronger - so we'll have her home in August and then I may start saving for a wee visit sometime in the winter --- I'd love all that winter sport stuff - was extremely sporty when I was younger - so albeit at a slower pace I can't see why I couldn't give it all a go!! Unfortunately money is also an issue
Yeah...the sleep pattern is still a bit weird mollers, but it's not a massive problem. I just sleep when I get tired.

That would be great for you if you can have Jilly come over AND go over there yourself. Hope you can make it happen. I know what you mean about the money though...it's a bugger isn't it?

Joe has a dream of doing the whole Route 66 thing on a bike but - unless we win the lottery or something that won't happen - and that's not important - but when it comes to things like being able to pop over to Jilly a few times a year - that's different - and that's when money does take on importance - as I'm sure you feel about continuing with counselling?
I'm the same molly....if I can't afford it, I don't buy it. Yep, money does matter when it's a question of seeing your daughter or not. And yes, it also matters when it's a question of paying for counselling. Sadly mine will have to end in a month or two.

Mollers....I doubt very much that the little one will care how you're turned out. All that will matter to him is the smile on your face and the loving words coming out of yer gob!

The posts im going for im not qualified to get, so ive done well to get interviews, really i shouldn't get passed the application form, as i haven't passed my degree yet.
The counselling placement ive been in for a year, i shouldn't really be there either as they don't normally take u till u have passed ur degree but i applied on the off chance and i got in, they believed in my abilities and as long as i keep getting good grades i'm allowed to stay
PINKYPOO. Go for it ! No-one ever meets ALL the criteria on a job spec. They don't expect it usually. You've applied before wihout quals asked for so why not now go for this ? Methinks you LOVE the place you are in ??
