Now that I've read back ...
how are all the kiddies in the sick bay this morning? Ficks? Ronnie? Lilly? Missy?
That was indeed a lovely oak grove tribute, Missy. Made me tear up.
OK - visitors for me today. Shall feed them handsomely and hope they bugger off at a reasonable hour because I know my ears will be bleeding. Boy, can she talk ...

techie;1350021 wrote: OK so this was a bit embarrassing. I'm over it but thought you'd get a laugh. My first trip out solo since surgery. I do have a spot in my eye (gas bubble) that's annoying but I fought through it. The drive was a challenge but I tried to shut my right eye as best I could. Alright here goes. I'm dying for a cheesburger & fries. So I go to Five Guys (big out here) and dive in. So, then I head to the car and realize I don't have my keys. I put my keys on the tray and dumped it in the trash bin as I was leaving. In a panic I rush back in to find some kid pulling BIG trash bags to haul to the BIG dumpster. Long story short, he finds my keys. Pleased, I slip him a twenty. Well, the key fob doesn't work. I guess shorted out by the fluids it was submerged in. I'm sweating profusely and have to pee. So I call the Saab dealer in Scottsdale asking for the service dept. Oh sorry they're closed on weekends. The sales guy then tells me that there is a release on the back of the fob with a hidden key. How did I NOT know that I'm a Techie
If it is any consolation Techie, I've just had a similarly embarrassing episode. We have started the inevitable process of de-cluttering to get the house ready to put onto the market in spring, and today I have done a super-clean of both bathrooms, and packed away a few boxes of things that can go into storage for a while. I was also all set to hang curtains in boy's room - we don't normally have curtains in there as we all like the light, and it looks out onto native bush, but I had a spare set of curtains after I replaced the ones in our bedroom at Xmas time. So I'd gone and got them dry-cleaned and had Mr B put the curtain rail up only to realize half way through that the curtains are much shorter than the window!! So now my windows look really dorky :H
Visit to Spotlight planned for next weekendNever give up, for that is just the place and time that the tide will turn

Morning all. I know it really is the afternoon but hey, I slept late in between feeds.
Ronnie, hope hubs starts changing his attitude. Never a fun one.
TF, the bread looks divine.
Techie, your stories are funny. Maybe not so much at the happening, but in hind sight. I'm sure I have done worse.
Here is Leons pic from this morning. I actually made it to the gym yesterday. It felt amazing to sweat again, and my arms are actually sore today which I love. Took moms out last night showed her a local club, only for 30 minutes though. She is feeling a bit down, and I don't know how to help. I'd say she misses my dad,, but sometimes she really doesn't. Maybe in long marriages our feelings change? The only answer I have is to be supportive and listen. We are both looking forward to getting out on Wednesday night. Going to head down the beach for a walk with hubs and Leon. See yous all in a bit.
Hiya Reg.
MB, That's funny about your sister.

OMGosh those breads look GREAT. Hi Ronnie and Missy. Techie can't sleep. Just had a medavac nearby. Helicopters came in & pulled a young girl out of a pool. I don't know the family but think I met the dad at a school thing months ago. This happens too often here!!!!Outside of a dog a book is mans best friend. Inside of a dog its too dark to read

Happs find out how to do it, then send detailed instructions to me so I can get some music on my phone. Thanks. Or should I send airfare for your locust to come to my place and do it for me. Do you want return airfare or just one way?
I made a mistook. It was KI cinnamon yoghurt... which is KI cream anyway...

Not going to party tonight as hubbie has managed to put me in a real bad mood, thinks he can treat me like something he has stepped on and get away with it. He forgets that i am tottly sober these days and i will NOT put up with his spoilt bratt behavior anymore!! Sometimes i just want him out the house but i know he wont leave!
Right rant overwith sorry but i just had to get it out
I should be in a better mood in the morning, my gums are sooo sore at the moment and i just wish i could eat properly
Ronnie, I hope things settle down for you both and Mr Ronnie pulls his head in.
:hallo: Undies. Tried a passion fruit ice cream recipe from Taste yesterday. Turned out OK, buit not as good as I anticipated. It has cocnut milk in it, and I think it affected the tang of the fruit too much. Will modify for the next batch. It IS good enough for a 2nd attempt . Now if I was Froglet, I'd be making a pavlova with the egg whites I didn't need. But I'm not Froglet, and we all know that Missy makes the best meringue in any case
Hmmm.... would coconut cream be the way to go? I reckon creamy cream from a happy cow would be the way to go... when you come over here I'll take you to King Island... or at least to a supermarket and buy you some. It is to die for.
techie;1350022 wrote: BTW, Rags your pizza's ROCK!!!
Aww Techie, thank you. The salmon one was delicious and easy to make.
I got in a bit of strife with the dough though. When you come here, I'll make you a pizza of your choice... and dessert with King Island cream .

He said there was a WHOLE SHELF of the stuff! He couldn't decide whether to get Turkey SPAM, regular SPAM or Classic SPAM. He settled for Classic.
So I now propose a challenge.
Using SPAM (no Camp Pie allowed), cook the recipe on the back of the tin.... and don't forget the dried cranberries....
