As you know my sister passed away last week, sooner than we expected,she went peacfully in the end, which really is a blessing... her funeral is on friday..
I really have had a hard time dealing with it, wish I was stronger, so many mixed emotions.. I do realise life has to go on.. this has certainly been a test for me, but have been ok there...

also i want to thank the ones here that sent there well wishes, also thanks Happy for letting the undies know why I would'nt be posting for a while:l

So, we gave away strapping my foot because great strips of skin were coming away with the strapping.




I now have this natty matte black number to help stabilise my foot from lateral movement. Coupled with my ols Scarpas, it works well. Hopefully I'll be able to walk more than 600 metres by the time I leave for Arfica!





Meanwhile last Wed i managed to twist my back while loading an air tank into the car. Silly me. So my get fit plan is at a standstill.

Rags - I was thinking about your lamb shanks - I throb them with mashed spuds and because they tend to be fairly rich I usually have them with a green salad which acts as a bit of a grease-cutter instead of veg. But I'm a bit of a salad head anyway ...

That looks delicious. How was it? Did it need any extra oomph? (I'm a Spice Girl)

Good idea about shanks. What I might do is have mash, pumpkin, beans and a green salad and let 'em help themselves. I figure it is great food for a coool winter evening. I was thinking of doing the pumpkin rav. but needs me to be in kitchen doing it on the spot and serving straight away.

Very nice - I used butternut so it was quite sweet. If you're a spice girl you'll have to add whatever takes your fancy.
