Morning Sunny - gym sounds good!
Hey Missy - didn't see you yesterday ... everything ok?
I'm off into the day. Have a good one, all to come.
Oh ... had a look at Reggiecam this morning and there were two beautiful hot air balloons gliding across the Melbourne skyline at dawn. Bloody beautiful.

Damm - I missed it!! I have the Reggie-cam in my bookmarks and love looking at it in the early morning.
Sunny - I've been back to the gym the last two weeks as I didn't want to swim with my cold. I have re-discovered the cathartic effect of boxing classes :H
I'm not feeling like a box of fluffies at the moment, and life's challenges keep on coming!! But I'm holding things together, even if gratitude thinking isn't coming easily at the moment But I'm always here, even if I'm just lurking :thanks: Checking in here is always the first thing I do in the morning and the last thing I do at night.
One of my work mates cornered me this morning and said that she was worried about me as I wasn't being my normal chirpy self, and was there anything that she could do to help. I sort of feel bad because I've been a bit grumpy at work recently and know that I haven't been contributing to the positive atmosphere that we like to maintain in the office. But I also know that I'm trying as best as I can in the face of some quite serious issues and that I don't need to be the office joy germ all the time.
I sort of feel the same about the Wunderoos - one of the things that I love about this thread is that it is unfailingly up-lifting! I know that I can come here and spill my woes, but I don't want overly much attention paid to them. And here there are lots of other joy germs to keep me up-lifted. :H:H I love seeing new photos of Leon, complaints about teenagers, wonderous photos from around the world, hearing music that I haven't heard before, really bad jokes, cooking adventures, bath night, commentary on TV shows hat I don't watch and everything else that this thread is about.
And I really appreciate the fact that we all have different patterns of posting (some daily, some weekly, some intermittently), and that some come and go, but that people notice when the pattern changes. :thanks:Never give up, for that is just the place and time that the tide will turn

What a lovely post Missy....I had to jump off my dumb phone so I could type quickly....I have to agree with all that you said about the Undies thread and why it works for those who post here and anyone new who'd like to jump in...sometimes when there is so much on my plate I feel I cant breathe, I can and do here...thats about it...

Arvo Undies,
So the O'Riley story goes thus ... On Sunday afternoon he got up from a nap and limped a little. I didn't take much notice thinking his foot had gone to sleep or whatever the feline equivalent is. However, on Monday morning he totally tucked one leg away and hobbled around on the remaining three. Watching him try to get through the cat flap was painful so I became the door opener/closer. I looked for obvious signs of cuts/injuries etc ... nothing. He's normally quite a vocal cat but he didn't say much at all for the next two days. So yesterday I phoned the vet who said they were pretty busy but to bring him in if I thought it was an emergency. No, not an emergency but I'll bring him in today at 11.30.
I gently lifted him off the bed and placed him in the cat carrier. For the half hour drive he yelled and screamed and carried on like a stuck pig. This was very distressing for me thinking he must be in a lot of pain.
We get to the vet's and I open the carrier door. The big red bastard instantly sashays across the floor on all bloody fours and makes a bee line for the young assistant who coo-coos and loves him up. He.is.so.throbbing.the.attention. Not a sign of a limp.
Thank dog the vet knows me and believed my story. He prodded and poked, twisted his leg hither and thither; to and fro; almost bent it into a bloody pretzel - nothing. Not a squeak. And thank dog this man is thorough. He found a claw mark in O'Riley's armpit which had apparently become infected. So after a shot and a vial of 10 Amoxil pills we came home again. He's walking just fine ... bloody attention-seeking malingerer.

O'Reilly, report to the back yard for the strap. By Jeez I'll give you something to complain about :H:H
Missy, your workplace sounds remarkable. 'Snap out of it' or 'Go get a root' is all I remember in terms of workplace support.
Well I have to report an 'epic fail' in the vegetarianism department I'm afraid. I'm back to ethical eating, and will go in for another swing as soon as I can.
To that end I am home from adventures with a multigrain sourdough cob and some free range ham. With high carbon mile LurpakIf your 8 year old self met you, would they be proud?

Love the O'Riley story TF :H:H Sounds just like something our Wookie would do ......
Bridge - enjoy your ham sandwich!! I was a proper vegetarian for a long time, but gave up when I went to live in the UK .... I caved in over pork chops :H:H I've had a few attempts since but after about a week I have a meat craving (and usually give in with something like a meat pie!!)
And yes, our workplace is pretty neat ........ oh good, I just had my first "gratitude" thought for the day thanks for that!!Never give up, for that is just the place and time that the tide will turn

Yours does sound like a healthy work place Missy. Just going on many comments you've made over the years. But I also think that you are one of the cornerstones, and therefore can take credit for that.
So, cards on the table punters....who's going home tonight on MC? (PS: I'm not a betting woman).....(actually, I don't even know how to 'each way' a horse)...(if you know what I mean)If your 8 year old self met you, would they be proud?
