Hi everyone - Paula, trust me - you wouldn't want to swap weather with me at all - this heat is a killer - literally. It has killed many locally - it is just awful - and next week is supposed to go up again to 108, 106 whatever - before the heat index. right now it is 104, before the heat index. Just miserable. My plants can't handle it and are dying no matter how much I water them - dreading my water bill. The heat is so oppresive. the farmers have lost most of their crops which means higher food prices too. And no rain in sight.

Cinders - so happy you got your password sorted at last :l What a pain for you....

nora - so glad they found casey's car but what a pain for you all. And yes, I am on Lexapro right now but it doesn't do what celexa did for me.

Hi there jan - yes, my two dogs love carrots too and KNOW when I get them out to peel to take to work with me - both of them sit waiting for the ends!

ATL - do hope that you get yourself sorted - hugs to you :l

thank you all for the best wishes about my oncology report - although i KNEW it would be fine - little miss Pollyanna as far as my cancer, I am!!

Mama, my Squish O Gram is scheduled for next month. Ouch! but worth it I guess.

Nora, good news about the car. Probably the one that was stolen is no longer in good condition.

Sunni, I've been complaining about our weather, but yours is worse. We are harvesting some corn due to a few brief thunderstorms. I saw all the completely dead fields on TV, that might be around where you live.

We went out for dinner, got a little 2/$25 special, petite filet. Hubby had two glasses of wine, I just relaxed with my raspberry iced tea. I used to taste his wine when I didn't order any, but now I don't want to do that. I remember the last bottle of wine I had, it tasted like vinegar, made my stomach burn.

Today was my mid-week day off, had turned into my drinking day. NO MORE!
I liked what DoDo posted on another thread as a response to that alkie brain chatter, maybe it would be OK to just have a drink etc etc.: JUST SHUT UP ! I will add, I don't drink!

Sunbeam - YES - no matter what the hassle, the squish o Gram is worth it - trust me !!! Good for you getting it done. The girls at work ask to borrow mine to take to put in the machine instead of having to have their own squished - LOL !! I always tell them NO - LOL.

Yes, our weather is the pits.

Good for you having raspberry iced tea instead of wine - you are so good !!! I have never been into wine anyway - it has always tasted like vinegar to me until I had had a few then it tasted quite good.

Have just picked a lot of tomatoes and some more zucchini - but think my tomatoes are starting to feel the heat as they are starting to die off. The zucchini are still doing well though as are my peppers. The dogs just sat and stared at me when I was picking the toms waiting for some !

Bravo Sunbeam. I have eaten, cleaned the kitchen, chatted with hubs (who wandered in from happy hour) and am now tucked in to read Game of Thrones, then off to bed.

Good morning Mama, and all to come. Are you baking ? Still raining here, but according to weather man, its going to get hot, can't wait, wanting to go away in our caravan for a few days. Working for next two days, and feeling quite content. Constantly reminding myself how bad it feels when I drink. Need to keep vigilant. K9 often talks of having a plan, and I so agree, my plan is to keep occupied and keep vigilant. Hope you all have a good day.

Quick check in. Been super busy with the kiddos. Had a couple slip ups but getting more control over the poison. Trying to spend as much time out this summer as possible. My Mom is flying me and kids home for a few weeks. We're super excited! Hubby has to work but there are a lot of house projects he can work on while we're gone. Fingers crossed! . Got to finish coffee then get moving Have a great day everyone!
