I've had my nephews 3 kids since Sunday. My niece-in-law is coming to pick them up this morning. She called & asked if she could take my other niece & nephew too so we could have a break. How sweet is that. So, we'll go out to a barbecue at her parents house on Sunday and then bring the 2 kids back with us. That means that I can get some sleep. YAHOO!!!!! :H

Sun,did'nt mean to be flippant about the weather.I know how dangerous it can be, we have had people die in the floods, one couple were found dead in their car due to a landslide. Your place sounds like a nursery Nora, you deserve a long sleep. It's lovely to have my grandchildren, but such hard work, but thank god that we are fit and able to do it. Hope everyone has had a good day, although my day has now turned into evening, I'm going to sit down and watch tv.

Another lovely day here and elsewhere.

Nora, I am glad you will get some well-deserved rest.
My day #30 is Saturday. Tipplerette was about on the same schedule as Paula and I, but she doesn't post every day. I will be watching for her post. Paula's day starts a lot earlier than ours, so the addition seems off, I think that's why.

Mtn Mamma, it is always interesting to see how many friends there are posting on this thread.

SunnyD, I'll take you up on that offer for extra tissue for my squish o gram. I don't have much to work with, plus my back doesn't stand up straight enough to suit the machine. Being short doesn't help this scenario. Then I sometimes have to go through it all over again because they can't get good enough pictures. Ugh!

Paula, hang tough, we are almost at our first significant goal.

In any case, I'm doing well. Hubby made a lovely pasta salad for dinner with whole grain bow ties, lots of broccoli, a few grape tomatoes, zest and juice of a lemon, ricotta cheese, golden raisins, red onion. This is MY kind of food. I also had a couple of ears of fresh corn. THIS is summer eating!

On Sunbeam...that sounds yummy!!
Stuck at work late waiting for a fence to get built. NOT happy right now. Mama is tired and wants her sofa!!
I manage an apartment community in a not so great area, and some of my customers do not have the best manners. One showed his butt today...yelling and screaming and dropping F bombs like crazy. This would have been a reason to drink in the past. Not today, but I want to get out of here right now!!

Quick check in Steppers. My Aunt has lapsed into a coma. Sat by her side for several hours. They didn't think she would make it thru 11:00 am and she is still hanging on. Hard to watch someone die. But, at least they have made her comfortable. I was able to tell her that I love her and hold her hand.

Oh Nora - SO sorry about your aunt - all you can do IS sit there and hold her hand. I am sure that she knew that you were there and appreciated it. As long as she is comfortable that is all that can be done. Do they know how long she has?

Jan - a tenant showed his butt? OMG !!!!! You do have the strangest days.......

Paula - I know that you weren't being flippant about the weather - I don't take offence trust me !! It has just got so ridiculous here - the heat is just awful. And goes on and on and on and on. No end in sight and no rain either. Where my mum lives in UK they have had terrible flooding - it is so ironic isn't it? The heat here is just so debilitating - you cannot imagine. And there is mum on skype on sunday showing me her new spotted mac!!

Sunbeam - I had to laugh - I wasn't offering you tissue - I was offering my prosthetics! I had to have a double mastectomy! And the girls at work would much rather take mine than have theirs squished! It has sort of become a standing joke.

anyway - worked the closing shift tonight and do the opening shift tomorrow - known as a clopen - LOL - as jan knows - so I should really start thinking about getting ready for bed.

LOL Jan - you KNOW I believe anything I am told - how funny !!! Clopened last night and am getting ready to leave.....alarm didn't go off - still woke up after 4 and a half hours sleep thank goodness. But 'cos I woke naturally don't feel tired. Must have been in the right stage of sleep....

So sad, the news in Colorado.

Nora, my thoughts are with you as you help surround your aunt with love. We lost a beloved 96 year old uncle in May.
