home from the lake.
It was a long, hot, SOBER day.
Hubs sipped his beer all day, but not me
and that's tough when you are out in 200 degree sun mowing, weeding, etc
but I made it
Hope everyone had a good day and here's to a sober July.
Hubs and I were taliong about how it seems to be the 4th of July and then Christmas and the the 4th, etc.
times flies so fast these days

Good job Mama! Hope it's OK if I post here once in a while? I'm trying real hard to live an AF life too! I think you, me & cindy? Have sober dates right in a row.

Anyway, sorry it's so blazing hot 4 ya. I know it's got ta be so hard with hubs drinking in front of you! Mine doesn't & I feel real lucky! But I also feel sorta selfish. We are going ta be doing some room make overs & having friends come help. I know my GF will go AF, but her hubs? Or we can invite a single guy friend we've known for yrs, but he loves his beer. I know I have to learn to deal with this. Ya have any tips? Maybes tom, or sometime this week, if ya have time or care to answer. It's OK if ya don't!

Hiya sweetie
It bothered me for a long time. But here's the long and short of it
he can drink. I cannot. Plus my kids would be PISSED if they saw me drinking too
so...I am ok with it. he does not get drunk or mean.....he's actually nicer after he's had a few
(don't tell him I said that!!)
Many, many friends here have said you have to do this for you...and it finally clicked
I feel lucky that I am ok with it, coz I know so many couples wouldn't be ok
I am always here if you need me and we love to have new family members!!

Think that I've finally got the computer back up & running. I'm keeping my fingers crossed.
Went & picked up my niece and her friend. Her friend will be staying with us for a week. The noise level in the car was amazing. Two 12 year old girls and one 9 year old boy. :lalala::lalala::lalala: :H

Yep, same here, I'm an alkie, he isn't, it's a fact! My hubs gets funny when he drinks. I promise not to tell your hubs. Hmm... mine has been Mr. grumps lately, super tired tho. Yep again, my kids would also be pizzed, along with upset & even scared for me.

Yep I just made a referral to a new person on the ASAP thread. I know if they come over they will receive a nice welcome. Person is stressed & scared just like we were. Oh feck, like we still are at times.
