Hello Troopers!!

Satz, sounds like a good plan. Exercise morning and night and curry chips to keep your strength up. :H

And the chow mein and noodles sound delish Molly and I haven't had KFC in years and years, Panno.

However, no matter what you order in or make, my bet is that this lovely cook book (wot arrived this morning by Fedex all the way from the Emerald Isle) would have you all scrambling to the kitchen to start something new. The recipes are fantastic and the pictures make me want to take a bite out of them.



This is just one of the delicious recipes - watermelon, rose water and marinated feta. Yummmmmmm

Well, since I'm sitting her all alone in the barracks, I will post a couple of pictures of Mr. Stirly's cactus that finally, after many, many years, decided to bloom...



We had one that bloomed only once years and years ago. After having it for a few years, it suddenly started putting out some shoots - seven all together if I remember well. It bloomed one night when we were out to dinner and we discovered that the blooms had opened when we got home after midnight. 12 hours later, the blooms had wilted and that was that. They are so beautiful but last for such a short time.

Evening what a cute doggie pic Zen. Nice cookbook also Stirly i must have a look at that one maybe the library will have it. I remembert they had a dance in some part of the states called the shag and it the couples who followed it called it shagging.:H:H. Dinner tonight was Tesco chilled lasange mixed salad with coleslaw. Weathers crap here too only stopped raining at 3 and more heavy rain for tomorrow.
