howdy guys, ive just woken up from a huge 3 hour nanna nap. I go to AA i don't go all the time, just enough to keep me pn the road to sobrietyI love people who make me laugh. I honestly think it's the thing I like most, to laugh. It cures a multitude of ills. It's probably the most important thing in a person.

I;m 41 going on about 91 as well. I could sleep for England preferably without Mr Grey
I have tried lots of AA meetings, but even the ones I like depress me on the whole. I do not personally find listening to people's horrific drinking stories particularly theraputic, but maybe that's just me?I have a drink problem, I have been AF since 15 March 2011 and I am working hard to stay that way

:hallo:
I have no gripes against people choosing to go the AA route and have defended the AA option here on MWO, but it's not an option for me. Never was, never will be. Plus the success rate is shockingly low.
I wish we could fecking go home now - the day is starting to drag, but Mrs. T still has stuff to complete before she goes on leave for the next 2 days.I'll do whatever it takes

I guess I hoped the steps would lead me to happy sobriety like the people I meet when I go to hear depressing stories
I know there are other ways.. I just haven't found one yet, apart from willpower, and I reckon that's a dangerous option as it could screw up at any time?
ANy thoughts?I have a drink problem, I have been AF since 15 March 2011 and I am working hard to stay that way

And in my case, I took baclofen, which worked like a charm. You literally don't give a feck about AL.
NOW: if only I can apply the same mindset to smokingI'll do whatever it takes

changing the subject, I need some shoe advice
I'd like to try some heels but they have to be comfortable for someone who's never walked in much apart from trainers.... so not pointy stiletto type ones ... any ideas?

I do give a feck about al, so I'm trying to see whether there's a way to get into that don't give a feck mindset which will work for me. I have to try, as just trying to distract myself with cellos and the like seems all very surface level and not really getting to the issue underneath
Thank god I don't have any other vices apart from shopping and piercing, and neither of those are particularly bad for my health....I have a drink problem, I have been AF since 15 March 2011 and I am working hard to stay that way
