:hallo:

Saw more old people in one day than during the whole of the past year. The one place is called "Utopia." I kid you not. The rooms smell a bit like hamster cages and there's piped music... A better option is a 2-bedroom place in a retirement village. Not a v ery nice area, but within her means. The 1st prize - near where we live - has a waiting list for their smaller units. The one-bedroom units are a bit on the expensive side. Will speak to my brother over the weekend and see...

Wouldn't mind the piped music cos I wouldn't hear it. Don't like the sound of the hamster cage smell though. Is that a euphemism for smelling of hamster shit?

I was thinking that sort of just cleaned, fresh sawdust cage smell.

Not the pong after a week when you've sworn yet again to make the kids clean the cage smell.

I'm attempting a new ice cream flavour. Made with rose syrup and fallouda (sp?) seeds. Can't wait for it to freeze properly.
