    DIFFICULT DAY!!!

    For some reason I REALLY wanted to drink today! I went to a local antique store where the owner is a friend. There's a pub across the street, and he wanted me to meet him there at 5. It was 3 at the time.
    It was SO tempting to just walk over there and start drinking then, and then drink more with him. I got very shaky and weird, and I was very hungry.
    I went to my car and got out of there, went to lunch, got a movie and came home.

    I haven't had a feeling like that in a long time. I'm not going to overthink it. I'm just glad to be home in my place safe and sound and sober.

      Glad you made the right choice Ann!... I've found it empowering! Even more when I don't over think things, which isn't always easy for me! LOL

        Good for you Ann, I think we all get these feelings, I certainly do, it's how we deal with them that matters.You did well. Good point about hunger, it can be a trigger.

          You have done well...
          Everyone get such feeling.Stop thoughts and surf the craving might work at that time!
          For me I don't have any craving for 72 days why?
          I will lose my job and come down to the street if it happens.
          So to much scary of drinking.
          Never try go back Ann...

          A learned habit surely be unlearned !!

          2012: Continuous AF for 7 months from May to Oct.

          Big Relapses : 6th November and 12th December 2012.

          2013 : So many ups and down !!

          2014: Has a conviction to stay with a healthy life.

            Antiquing AND a pub AND a strange man wanting a 5 o'clock redevous...Whew!

              :goodjob: Ann! Well done in making the right choice!
              I quit drinking on March 8, 2020. Taking it One Day At A Time and no more taking my quit for granted.

              Also doing it for me. I got to stay sober for me.

              Just consecrate on today and do what you can to remain sober for today and worry about staying sober tomorrow, tomorrow.

                    DIFFICULT DAY!!!

                    I've been afraid ta watch that movie, but still there's apart of me that wants to. Well finding Big foot on Animal Planet or whatever it's called scares me to, esp if I watch it in the dark. I've changed the channel, but I am curious like a cat & then go back for more. Ah, crap like drinkin. Now better keep the ice cream out of my hands, esp if its chocolate, or fresh strawberry, hahaha... :-)

                      I know when we rescued our cat, the organization said if it didn't work out, they'd take him back. Can ya check? Sometimes it's not the right match. No fault of yours, & maybe the cat.

                          Hey MamaBear-I agree-weird ending to the movie. Of well it got me through a hard time, along with the ice cream. Hoping for a better day tomorrow
