Great job Dixon! I am proud of your accomplishments! As far as the problems you are still having, please realize that although they are natural, you still control all of them. You decide your self esteem, you decide whether you have mood swings, you don't have to be indecisive, and time and focus can heal hurt feelings. And curing those problems are all much easier that beating a drinking problem. You can accomplish anything you want to. Focus on what you want and take action, and it will happen!

          Hi Dix

Congrats on day 77! (or now 78!)
I'm a little behind you - day 52 I think. Your posts help me to see what is ahead so thank you.

I like what Supercrew said, that those remaining problems you listed are much easier to beat than the battle with AL. You've done the hard part, give yourself some time to work out the rest - it will happen if you want it to.

          Take care

Great job Dixon! Your an inspiration to others and you inspire me to keep helping.
I quit drinking on March 8, 2020. Taking it One Day At A Time and no more taking my quit for granted.

Also doing it for me. I got to stay sober for me.

Just consecrate on today and do what you can to remain sober for today and worry about staying sober tomorrow, tomorrow.

              Hi Superscrew,
              Thanks a lot !
I am too proud of you being proud of me !!
I have noted your words highlighted in red to repeat them again and again.I had them before in my mind and soul but they dint get any space while negative thoughts were occupied my mind when I was a boozer. In past, I had to face negative feelings all the times and tried to avoid them but they became more stronger as they felt their present was important to me.Now I can feel negatives thoughts but the difference is that I just observe and watch and let them go...never stick with them all the times ....What a wonderful difference with being AF?? !!

                Pixie,
I think we should start a common thread for us as we are most similar with the AF journey ??
Anyway , I am grateful for your advice to give a try with Gingko Biloba which is greatly helping me to be concentrated. Thanks Pixie again.I have now been titrating down my anti-depressants.

Congratulations Dix! You are a star! You have shown how it's done and have been a true supporter to everyone.

I am not sure that I believe a person has complete control over mood swings and depression...if only. A lot of people believe that, and depression is seen by many as something to "get over and get on with". However, without AL in the picture, you can figure out what's real. I hope everything continues to get better for you.

                      LibraryGirl,

I agree with you that everybody do have mood swings..the only difference is we all see other side is greener.
But my concern is how to concentrate on works.I am really pondering with thoughts of how to find a way out of life ??.When people start talking with me I just wake up from deep sleep of thoughts and say how can I help you ??,they repeat that again and I have to tell -say again and they will disappear .People become irritate while seeing me.Its becoming very hard to save my job.
                      Thats all LG.
                      How you doing friend ?

                        Lg,
Its all simply because of low self esteem...which is cause of my childhood environment.
Its a shame that I was a part time lecturer of this field before .
