So Leon News!
Whether intentionally or unintentionally, Leon said his first word. His first word was MOM!!!!!!
Hubs and I were cooking dinner with Leon in the kitchen, and he said it and we both heard it. So then my husband was feeling a bit jealous. So he spent the next 30 minutes trying to get him to say Daddy. So funny and SO AWESOME!!!!
Get hubs to try "dada" rather than "daddy" Reckon than clever little Leon will have it down pat in less than a week
on further inspection our lovely potential apartment has some flaws - don't they always?? We are getting legal advice on whether they are terminal or just "take a risk" ones. I took a real-estate friend through it today and she reckoned it was a good deal. But it is in an area that has previously been very pricey but now is in "earthquake-risk" territory, so prices have been dropping dramatically. It is very much a question of assessing the risk of an earthquake in my life-time - if the risk is low, it's a great deal! If it is high, then I might end up in a less than desirable living situation. More thinking and contemplation to followNever give up, for that is just the place and time that the tide will turn

Oh, and you can see Kath and Kim before the 6th I think if you see it at Chicks in the Flicks. I was thinking about taking my brother when he gets here in a week. Yet I don't think it's his thing.

Rags, I can't wait to see all your photos from Africa. SO excited for you! If I lived closer I would have hubs fix up your phone. He is pretty good at all things technology. I have things on my phone I would never have been able to get on it if it weren't for him.
You want to hear something ROOLY embarrassing?? Having tried assorted headphones and a U beaut set of mini speakers (I'm taking them to Africa... pic tomorrow), I went to the Telstra shop and spoke to young lady with tat of Walt Disney and her grandfather on one arm and tats of Disney characters on the other arm, and assorted hardware stuck through her nose... she looked at phone saw what the problem was and..... turned the volume up
I will have Africa pics for you when I get back. promise.

Evening all
Sounds like we have all had a good day
Having big probs with my middle boy and his attitude at the moment so he is now barred from everything even the TV as he really wanted to watch the x factor so he is now trashing his room, one day he will learn as when he has finished trashing he will then have to tidy it all up again! ! But apart from that my day has been very nice.
Now relaxing on sofa :-)
Hope you all have a great night xx:dancin: enguin:

Underoo's and Innashnal guests, August 2012!
I had a very scary moment early this morning. I was hiking a new trail with two others. We were on a ridge line looking east at a huge plume of smoke from a forest fire about 20km away. The smoke was getting very close. As we began our decent the wind shifted and brought the smoke our way. In less than 15 minutes we were enveloped in dense smoke. It was so bad and so thick you could not see the trail. Our biggest fear was loosing our footing. Looking straight up, you could see nothing but blue sky. We decided to climb back up to the summit very slowly. I attempted to use my cell phone to call the Forest Service but I was out of range. We did find an alternate trail down using my gps, but it took three hours. Everyone was out of water w/ 5k to go, so we all kissed the ground when we hit the trailhead.
Lesson learned: Know the area and ALL alternate routes. Bring more water than you think you'll need. ONLY hike/climb in areas where someone has a cell tower signal. Techie WILL take the Arizona Wilderness Survival course when offered again in October!Outside of a dog a book is mans best friend. Inside of a dog its too dark to read

Your whole life scares me Techie:H Especially the exercise bit.
Speaking of which I am back in to the geriatric triathalon today, so feel free to block me to avoid this afternoon's moaning.
That is all.If your 8 year old self met you, would they be proud?
